Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, located near the Showa Shinzan volcano 🌋, is one of Hokkaido's three largest bear ranches! The ranch is home to approximately 100 Hokkaido brown bears 🐻, allowing visitors to observe these majestic bears up close. The ranch is small, so a 30-minute visit is sufficient. The bears are categorized by age: there are areas for kindergarten bears, adolescent bears, and adult bears, allowing visitors to see bears at different stages of development. My favorite was the kindergarten bears; they were quite adorable. The others seemed a bit more formidable. The ranch has a souvenir shop selling bear-related merchandise, horse oil, and more. 🛍️ After visiting, I felt the bears didn't have enough space to move around, and they seemed to be constantly barking at visitors for food, which seemed unkind. Please consider your decision. Ticket price: Adults approximately 2,000 yen, children half price, and toddlers free.
