Quick Escape to Jingmei Mountain

#chinatravel Hiked up Jingmei Mountain the other day and honestly it was the perfect little nature break right in Taipei City, Taiwan. Super accessible. I just walked from the MRT and boom, I was already hitting the trail. It’s not a hard hike at all. More like a nature walk with some stairs here and there. You’ll break a light sweat but it’s nothing crazy. There’s a few spots with benches where you can sit and enjoy the trees and birds doing their thing. The summit is low key but has a decent view over the city. You won’t get jaw dropping mountain vibes like Qixing or Yangmingshan but for a chill afternoon stroll, it’s solid. Ran into a few locals walking their dogs or doing tai chi. Super peaceful vibe. Didn’t even need hiking shoes. If you’ve only got an hour or two and want to clear your head without leaving the city, Jingmei Mountain is a solid choice. Bring a drink and enjoy.
