The short walk to the first waterfall is maybe 15 minutes along a mostly cement walk. This waterfall is huge - loud and gorgeous. My husband did some jumping from the rocks behind the waterfall. The fresh water was unexpectedly cool. We also hiked to the second waterfall. Gorgeous, worth the hike. Maybe 45 minutes? Bring good footwear. I think we paid 36 Fijian dollars per person to gain entry to the park. Totally worth it. Wish we had more time. It was only about 15 miles to the entrance from our hotel in Matei, but the road most of the way is dirt and very rough, so it took the better part of an hour to get there. We hired a taxi driver who waited for us a couple of hours, and we probably spent about $170 Fijian for the four of us for the taxi. Make sure you have local cash.
