Seaside Colours and Castle Views: A Day in Tenby

Tenby, a charming seaside town in southwest Wales, feels like a postcard brought to life. With its pastel-colored houses, medieval walls, and stunning beaches, it’s the perfect place for a slow and beautiful escape. I arrived in the morning and took a walk along North Beach, where golden sand meets turquoise water. Above the beach, Tenby’s iconic colorful buildings stood proudly on the cliffside, glowing in the early sun. The view was peaceful, and the sound of waves set the tone for a relaxed day. Next, I explored Tenby Castle Hill, where the ruins of an old Norman castle overlook the sea. From the top, I had a panoramic view of St Catherine’s Island and the coastline beyond—absolutely breathtaking. For lunch, I found a cozy café near the harbour and enjoyed fish and chips with a sea breeze in my hair. Seagulls swooped playfully overhead, and boats bobbed gently in the water. In the afternoon, I wandered through the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town, browsing local art galleries and sweet shops. I even bought some homemade fudge to take home. Before leaving, I took one last stroll along South Beach, where the setting sun painted the sky in pinks and oranges. Tenby is small, but full of heart—where history, nature, and coastal charm come together. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy life’s simple joys by the sea.
