#EnjoyJapan Departing from Haneda Airport, we transferred in Naha and arrived at Kumejima around 13:30! At the airport, we had a snack of course with "Yuko's Sata Andagi". The sweetness and the aroma of brown sugar were just amazing. From the airport, we took a bus to our accommodation, "Marechi House". It was a quiet and relaxing space, so we dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. We relaxed at the Fureai Hiroba and looked out at the ocean, then moved to Shinri Beach for the sunset. The light shining through the clouds was so fantastic that I was speechless... At night, we had handmade Kumejima soba noodles at the inn. Using local ingredients, it was simple but flavorful. It was the perfect start to a quiet evening. Then we took the local bus and checked into our cozy rental house “Marechi.” After settling in, we headed out for a peaceful walk. We watched the waves at Fureai Square, then caught the stunning sunset at Shinrihama Beach. The sun breaking through the clouds made for an unforgettable golden hour. Ended the night with homemade Kumejima soba at our stay — simple, local, and absolutely soul-warming.
