The Udon Thani City Museum is incredibly enjoyable.

Udon Thani is a city rich in stories, with many revered monks and spiritual leaders. This museum gathers everything in one place, including history, archaeology, biographies of important figures, natural sciences, geology, and the city's development. It even delves into mysterious topics, such as the original building structure with black wood interspersed throughout—a puzzle that even the Fine Arts Department has yet to solve—and tales of mysticism. The museum itself is a well-maintained, clean, two-story European-style building. Every exhibition room is air-conditioned. I particularly loved the room dedicated to the history of Udon Thani's revered monks. Visiting this museum allows you to pay respects to all of them in one place. 🙏🏼 Location: Pho Sri Road, Mak Khaeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, next to Nong Prajak Public Park. Free parking is available. Opening hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, closed on Mondays and public holidays. Admission is free (registration required).
