Earlier this year, the Xiamen Seaside Hyatt Centric Hotel quietly bloomed on Egret Island. Located south of the Music Beach Plaza and north of Tianquan Mountain, it's just a stone's throw away from Zengcuoan, offering rich surrounding exploration experiences. Upon arrival, the concierge enthusiastically invited me to experience the local cultural tradition of "Bo Bing" (dice game). After tossing dice in a red bowl, guests are randomly assigned one of four different MAP C+ customized tour routes. Complete the check-ins to earn the hotel's exclusive badge. Walking through the entrance into the sunken garden, bright sunlight streams through the glass skylight, while the banquet and meeting spaces feature coastal-inspired design elements that create a relaxing atmosphere. The gym is open 24 hours with comprehensive facilities and separate cardio and strength training areas. Back to the lobby. Past the elegant front desk is the dining area, where the hotel has transformed the lobby bar into a music house. During the day, guests can listen to classic tunes on vinyl record players, while evening band performances showcase the hotel's brand character. The restaurant primarily offers Fujian and Ningbo cuisines, with round lanterns hanging from the atrium ceiling. Next to the bakery is the hotel bar, with an outdoor area adjacent to a carousel. The hotel's infinity pool and bar will welcome guests in April. The hotel rooms also reflect the local culture. Each room features different themed photos hanging in the sofa area, and the bedside lamps on either side of the bed vary. The welcome gift includes three types of snacks and fruit, accompanied by a handwritten introduction card. The custom-designed wooden room key is quite collectible. 63% of the rooms have sea-view terraces, making it the first international chain hotel on the island with this feature. The hotel's most impressive offering is the semi-buffet breakfast. Local snacks like noodle soup and peanut soup are available, while the kitchen's expertise shines through consistently excellent eggs Benedict. The delicate waffles dusted with powdered sugar are truly a hotel specialty. Additionally, the dining area offers various freshly squeezed drinks, yogurt, pastries, and hot stir-fried dishes to choose from—comprehensive and not to be missed. As the Hyatt Centric brand celebrates its tenth anniversary, the Xiamen Seaside Hyatt Centric Hotel has shown me its youthful and vibrant side, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
