First experience of the Ba Zou Village Hangzhou stop! One-day tour of Tachuan!

Autumn in Tachuan is absolutely stunning! A 12KM red leaf loop hike with a Hangzhou group tour, the Hui-style ancient village is breathtakingly beautiful! I finally checked off the must-visit autumn highlight of a lifetime — the Tachuan red leaves!!! A one-day group tour departing from Hangzhou at the end of November, 12 kilometers circular hike, a blessing for walking enthusiasts, a paradise for photography lovers, and even lazy people can win effortlessly~ No regrets at all! 【Itinerary Overview】 Meet at Hangzhou Huanglong Sports Center at 07:00 → Express bus directly to Hongcun (about 3.5 hours) → Brief visit & lunch in Hongcun → 13:30 start the 12KM Tachuan loop hike → Return around 17:30 → Back to Hangzhou around 21:00 The tour fee is only 2XX (includes round-trip bus + Hongcun entrance ticket + insurance + tour leader, lunch not included), the cost performance is simply legendary! 【This autumn scenery is truly amazing!】 With plenty of rain this year, the red leaves in Tachuan are a deep purple! From light yellow → orange-yellow → bright red → wine red → purple-red, layer upon layer, like God spilled a palette. The 12KM loop we walked is the classic "Tachuan - Mukeng Bamboo Sea - Hongcun" circuit, mostly small paths and farm roads, with almost no repeated scenery. The most stunning sections: The camphor tree forest at the entrance of Tachuan Village, when the sun rises, the whole sky turns red! (classic postcard view) The back mountain path from Xieli Village to Tachuan, red leaves + Chinese sumac + golden rice fields + Hui-style white walls and black tiles, 360° flawless! The downhill section at Mukeng Bamboo Sea, sunlight penetrates the bamboo forest and shines on the red leaves, the ground is full of light spots, the photos look like oil paintings. Finally, crossing the mountain from Tashang Village back to Hongcun, the sunset dyes the entire valley golden red, it really makes you want to scream on the spot! 【Is the 12KM hike really tiring?】 Honestly, for someone like me who doesn’t usually exercise much, there were two uphill sections where my legs got weak... But! The tour leader was super nice, slowing the pace and frequently stopping for photos and water breaks based on the group’s condition. There was basically a stunning photo spot every 1-1.5 kilometers, making it hard to walk fast! Also, the route alternates between downhill, flat, and small uphill sections, so it’s not a continuous climb. I wore regular sports shoes and a fleece jacket, and it was totally fine! 【Hongcun small tips】 Since it’s a loop, you end up back in Hongcun. If you have enough time, you can explore until closing! The red leaf reflections in Moon Pond are stunning, and there are also beautiful red leaves near Nanhu Academy. It’s recommended to take your time photographing after finishing the loop.
