Zhaosu Wild Wolf Valley: A niche destination full of contrasts

The name "Wild Wolf Valley" might initially sound like a dangerous place, but in reality, it’s a soothing grassland reminiscent of a Windows wallpaper. Located at the foot of Baishi Peak, the main summit of the Wusun Mountains in Zhaosu, Wild Wolf Valley used to be frequented by wolf packs in the past. Nowadays, it has become a spring and autumn pasture for local herders. With over 10 large and small canyons and nearly a million acres of natural highland grasslands extending into the valleys, the area is surrounded by mountain peaks on all sides, making it a completely open and free destination despite the absence of snow-capped mountains. Most travel groups are unlikely to visit this place, so you won’t have to queue for shuttle buses during peak seasons. The fact that the entire scenic area doesn’t require shuttle buses is a rare treat that seasoned Xinjiang travelers will appreciate! Wild Wolf Valley doesn’t have fixed attractions, allowing visitors to freely run across the grasslands, enjoy leisurely camping, or experience horseback riding in the area. Notably, due to the low number of visitors, the horseback riding experience here is exceptional.
