Guizhou | Solo Female 8-Day Public Transportation Travel Guide

Route: Guiyang - Huangguoshu Waterfall (Anshun) - Xiaoqikong and Daqikong (Libo) - Zhaoxing Dong Village, Tang'an Terraces (Congjiang) - Huanggang Dong Village - Kaili - Langde Miao Village Because I didn’t want to visit overly commercialized places, I skipped Qianhu Miao Village and avoided places with very inconvenient transportation, mainly due to concerns about transportation and safety. 1️⃣-2️⃣ Guiyang Spent a day and a half sightseeing, enjoyed the night view of Jiaxiu Tower, visited Qingyun Market and Minsheng Road Farmers Market, and ate baked pot and sour soup hotpot. Overall, it was very nice and not tiring. A leisurely stroll was enough. Guiyang souvenirs are really easy to buy and have their own unique characteristics. I highly recommend browsing carefully at Qingyun Market. 3️⃣ Guiyang - Anshun West High-Speed Rail 🚄 This high-speed train is very convenient; check the schedule yourself. After getting off, go out and take the official No. 22 bus on the right side to Huangguoshu Scenic Area. I stayed overnight after spending a day at Huangguoshu because I didn’t want to be too tired. There is a separate guide for the specific sightseeing route. There are many guesthouses nearby; you can stroll around to check the environment before booking online. 4️⃣ Anshun West - Libo 🚄 To return from Huangguoshu to Anshun West, take the 22-yuan bus again. Board at the same place where you got off yesterday inside Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The earliest bus is at 7:00 AM, and the trip takes about half an hour. After arriving at Libo Station, take bus No. 11 for 5 yuan to Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It takes about half an hour. Spend the afternoon exploring Xiaoqikong; there is a separate guide for this. Stay overnight at a guesthouse near Xiaoqikong. 5️⃣ Daqikong Scenic Area + Zhaoxing Dong Village 🚄 Early in the morning, everyone went to Xiaoqikong, but I had the whole Daqikong to myself. It took about an hour to tour. Return by bus No. 11 to Libo Station. There is no direct bus from Libo to Zhaoxing Dong Village. You can take the high-speed train Libo - Duyun - Congjiang Station with a transfer. *If you want to visit Qianhu Miao Village, there is a direct bus from the entrance of Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. After getting off at Congjiang Station, go to the nearby Dongxiang Passenger Station and take a bus to Zhaoxing Dong Village. The fare is 10 yuan. Stay overnight inside Zhaoxing Dong Village; I recommend staying in the middle section of the village. I stayed near the Credit Union; the bonfire party was nearby, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the village gate welcome ceremony. 6️⃣ Zhaoxing Dong Village Moon Festival + Huanggang Dong Village I happened to be there during the Moon Festival. At 10 AM, watched the village gate welcome ceremony and drum tower singing, which are daily activities. I also participated in the Jiwu Building event and won second prize. This was an event organized during the festival and is not held daily. In the afternoon, departed for Huanggang Dong Village at 2:00 PM; the return bus was at 5:00 PM. The trip takes one hour, so there is enough time to explore for two hours. The village is not very big but was my favorite place on this trip! It’s not commercialized at all and shows the daily life of villagers. There is a lotus pond in the village, and it’s hard to imagine how comfortable it must be here in summer.
