My advice from multiple trips to Xi'an is... You really need to plan well!!! Explore by districts! There are too many attractions in Xi'an, and without a focus, you'll exhaust yourself. Xi'an can roughly be divided into four areas🙋‍ ✅Xi'an City Wall, Drum Tower, Bell Tower, Changle Gate, Daming Palace, etc. These attractions within the city walls can be visited together in one day. ✅Xi'an Museum, Shaanxi History Museum, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Tang All Day Mall, Tang Paradise, etc. Multiple attractions are clustered here. To explore them all thoroughly, allocate 2-3 days. ✅Terracotta Warriors, Lishan Garden, Huaqing Pool, "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" Set aside a full day to immerse yourself in this historical and cultural beauty. ✅Mount Hua It's best to dedicate a separate day to this, preferably at the end of your trip. Recently, the Terracotta Warriors have been extremely crowded 🥲 😅 Most tourists see nothing but crowds at the Terracotta Warriors, which greatly affects their mood, right? 🔴 But today we successfully avoided the crowd, as you can see from the photos, there were almost no tourists. ✔️ How can you avoid the crowds? 1️⃣ Lishan Garden ① Arrive at Lishan Garden Scenic Area at 1 PM ② Follow this route in Lishan Garden: Hall 9901 - Hall 0006 - Bronze Chariot - Civil Officer Hall ③ The total time spent in Lishan Garden is about 3 hours. (3 hours includes the explanation time. If you don't listen to the explanation, you can finish quickly, but it is still recommended to hire a guide, otherwise, it would be quite boring to just look around by yourself.) ④ Since the distance between each exhibition hall in Lishan Garden is very far, don't forget to buy a shuttle bus ticket, 15 yuan/person. 2️⃣ Terracotta Warriors ① Return to the Terracotta Warriors Museum from Lishan Garden, you can rest at the visitor center for a while, and head to the Terracotta Warriors around 4:30 PM. ② The Terracotta Warriors require two ticket checks, and the last ticket check time for the venue is 5 PM, so you need to complete the ticket check before 5 PM. ③ After the ticket check, enter the second ticket gate, and first go to the Rare Birds Hall on the right. Keep walking to the very end where it says 'official guides' to find a guide~ Otherwise, you'll just be wandering around without any real experience. 💟Visiting order: Pit 1👉 Pit 3👉 Pit 2 Pit 1 to see the overall layout, Pit 3 to see the arrangement, and Pit 2 to see the details~ ✅Pit 1 The location where the Terracotta Army was first discovered, with rows of soldier statues, chariots, and infantry squads in the middle, burying about 6,000 terracotta warriors and horses, as well as a large number of bronze weapons. ✅Pit 2 The layout inside the pit is complex, with a more complete range of troops. Most of the promotional images are taken inside Pit 2, which is the essence of the Terracotta Army pits. #postandearn Bronze Chariots of the first Emperor of China. They were moved into to its new bunker-like Bronze Museum in 2021. They were displayed with the Terracotta Army Relic’s Hall before. They were unearthed in fragments and over 3000 pieces per chariot. Each chariot weighs over 1 ton. Found in 1980, 20 meters west of Qin Shi Huang’s tomb mound. They are made as Ceremonial “soul vehicles" for the emperor’s afterlife . REMEMBER: This is not in the terracotta army site, you need to go back at the entrance/exit gate coz the free shuttle bus going to the chariots are parked there. Once you arrive at the site, you will need to take another shuttle /golf cart to take you around the place, only 15 rmb for the hop on and hop off cart. The chariots will be one of the stops.
