Although the overall experience is slightly inferior to that of the Sery, it has its own unique features. The hotel is located in Lianhu District, which is part of the main urban area but is a bit far from the bustling city wall area and commercial districts. The surrounding area has a relatively weak commercial atmosphere, so if you want to find late-night snacks, you might need to rely on food delivery. However, taxis are quite convenient, making it suitable for those who want to stay in the hotel peacefully without much hassle. The surrounding environment is also relatively quiet. In terms of service, it’s generally adequate. Check-in needs to be done at the front desk, as the executive lounge currently does not offer this service. The drink options in the executive lounge are relatively limited, with no sugar-free cola or soda available outside of happy hour. Except during happy hour when snacks are replenished and staff are present, it’s mostly a self-service mode at other times, and the atmosphere is as quiet as a study room. This time, I stayed in both a suite and a family suite. The suite has good space and layout, featuring classic old-money-style decor with dark wood furniture and thick carpets, exuding a stable and high-quality feel. The maintenance is meticulous, and the furniture is very comfortable, with a broad window view. The family suite includes a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, oven, and refrigerator, making it very suitable for families and convenient for cooking. Both the living room and bedroom have TVs, catering to different needs. However, the main bathroom shower in the suite is relatively small, requiring you to stand in the bathtub to shower, which feels a bit cramped and may lead to accidental bumps—a minor drawback. The hotel’s gym is praiseworthy, with a complete range of equipment, including Smith machines, power racks, and cardio machines. The brands are reliable, the maintenance is clean, and it’s not crowded, making for a great workout experience in the morning. The pool is also a highlight, featuring a large heated swimming pool and a small hot spring pool, catering to different needs. Children can play in both pools, which is very convenient. The breakfast options, while not particularly stunning, are mainly standard Western-style fare, but the variety is decent and meets basic needs. 🧹 Soundproofing/Hygiene: Overall hygiene is good, well-maintained, and the living environment is comfortable. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The suite and family suite are well-designed. It has 4 restaurants and bars with different styles, offering Chinese and Western cuisine. 13 multi-functional banquet halls and meeting rooms can meet different meeting needs. Sheraton Xi'an Chanba Hotel - Prime Location: Located on the right bank of the Bahe River in the Chanba Ecological District in the east of the city, adjacent to the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, etc., it is only about half an hour's drive from the airport and the North Railway Station, and the transportation is convenient such as Metro Line 3. - Novel Facilities: As one of the first hotels in the Asia-Pacific region to showcase the new concept of the Sheraton brand, the lobby has a shared long table and other designs. Where to stay in Xi'an? After some hesitation, I chose the "Sheraton Xi'an". I remember staying here frequently on business trips to Xi'an in 2008-2009, but then more hotels opened in Xi'an and the company moved to the High-tech Zone, so I never stayed here again. Coming back again, I was not disappointed: 🏨 The same simple courtyard, the same "Xi'an Restaurant" downstairs, everything seems to have never changed. The hotel opened in 1991 and should be one of the first "Sheratons" in China. It has a rich history and is still going strong. 🛏️ I booked a basic room and was upgraded to an executive suite (P3-7). The executive floor was renovated later and got rid of the original "simplicity". The executive floor is on the lower floor and the standard rooms are on the upper floors. 🍹 The lounge is also in the style of an old hotel, with a very spacious space (P8-9). There are no staff outside of Happy Hour, you need to swipe your card to enter. There are large bottles of drinks, beer, and cookies, but no canned drinks. Breakfast is not provided. From 17:00 to 19:00 during Happy Hour, there are noodle stalls and various main courses and desserts that are enough to fill you up. One day, they also made a big pot of "Meicai Kourou". Roujiamo, Liangpi, and Heshi are standard every day. For canned drinks such as soda and ginger ale, you still need to ask the waiter. 🥗 Breakfast is on the first floor (P10-13). There are no waiters to seat you, you can sit anywhere. I don't like this, after all, many people's eyes are just decorations and have no practical use. It happened once that someone else sat in my seat when I got up to get food. Breakfast is of the same standard as similar hotels. In a food paradise like Xi'an, you really can't eat too much for breakfast except for some fruits and vegetables. You have to save your quota for more delicious food outside. The coffee is commendable, and they have prepared a good selection of black coffee! 🚖 The hotel is located in the west of Xi'an city, so the location is a shortcoming. The surrounding area is not so prosperous for some reasons, and there is currently no subway. But in the face of cost performance and professional services, these are not problems. It is 2 kilometers away from "Datang Xishi", which is within walking distance.
