I stayed in New Zealand from July to February, and a friend told me that you can only see it around May, so I gave up, but I was able to see it multiple times in those seven months. So I think you can see it pretty much any time of the year. When you think of the Aurora, you think of green, but the Aurora in New Zealand is red! If you pass through Queenstown, be sure to visit the city center! It is very lively here, with people coming and going, and a great atmosphere. There are many food stalls along the lake. There are many brand-name stores, clothing stores, souvenir shops, and Patagonia, the most famous ice cream shop in Queenstown. There is also a super famous hamburger shop, fregburger. If you join a local tour group, this is the pier for the cruise ship. We had dinner at flame restaurant, which is highly recommended. This was one of my favorite hotels on my New Zealand road trip. I had seen pictures before, but I was still surprised when I opened the door. The huge lake view terrace and the living room floor-to-ceiling windows offer a 270-degree view of the lake. The terrace faces Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown. ❤Room: The living room and kitchen are spacious and simply designed. The suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate four adults. ❤️Facilities: The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook for yourself. There is also a washing machine and dryer. ❤️Room type: I recommend booking the 90 m² two-bedroom lake view suite, which is more cost-effective for four people. There is also a more expensive room type with a terrace and spa bath. ❤️Transportation: It's best to rent a car in Queenstown, as it makes getting around much easier. If you don't have a car, the hotel also has a shuttle bus to the town. 🌟Hotel name: Oaks Club Resort Queenstown. There are two Oaks hotels, so make sure you book the Club Resort, not the apartment.
