When visiting Yuantong Ancient Town, a friend strongly recommended a restaurant with an antique decoration and a spacious hall that can accommodate many people for dining. I ordered some classic Sichuan dishes and after tasting them, I was full of praise and commented that the taste was still familiar from many years ago.

I ordered boiled beef, Mapo tofu, eggplant and cowpea, which are delicious and go well with rice. The overall feeling is good.

In Yuantong Ancient Town, close to the Catholic Church + Huang Family Courtyard, and close to the pier, it can be said to be a very good location. This supply and marketing cooperative restaurant is very large, and it is no problem to seat hundreds of people. The problem is: The reception capacity is insufficient, and the service experience is too poor! It was dinner time when we went there, and we were lucky enough to grab a big table directly. Who knew that after ordering, 5 dishes and 1 soup, it took more than an hour to eat, and only 4 dishes came up one after another, and the rice was really cold. The kitchen is probably short of staff. No matter what the order is, if 4-5 tables can come out at the same time, they will be fried first. So many dishes can't wait. Some guests are very unconscious, squatting at the kitchen outlet, grabbing a circle of each dish when it comes out, and even salvaging to see if it is what they ordered... and making a big fuss. This is already very slow, and the order is even worse. I "grabbed" a pot of rice by myself, and barely filled our table. The dishes were not served, and I returned 1 dish and 1 soup. Dishes served: Kimchi whole fish, OK. The fish was at least whole and steamed, but the kimchi was sour and spicy, and the dish tasted OK. Twice-cooked pork, it was fried with leeks?! Leeks?! Leeks?! Whose twice-cooked pork is fried with leeks? It's really unpalatable. Pork intestines and blood soup, not tasty. The pork intestines were cooked in a pressure cooker and were too soft; the remaining blood soup and vegetables were too much, and the price-performance ratio was too poor. Bamboo shoots and pork, just OK. 5 large and 1 small cost 140, I don't think it's very good. The only thing about this restaurant is that the environment is better, and the service level still needs to be improved.
