The service is excellent; the staff are very attentive in recommending dishes, and the portions are generous! The food didn't disappoint; it was truly beautiful and delicious! 🍚🤩, both the presentation and taste were superb! We were extremely satisfied with the little cloth towels we made!💙 🥁 Fanfan Hand Drum We stumbled upon this place, and the owner, a friendly and generous lady, taught us how to play the drums! The drums we bought🥁 can be shipped directly home, and there are even instructional videos!📦 🍸 Nightlife 🌸 Flower Goddess Bar The environment is relatively quiet, with live music. The singers are quite good. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere and is a reasonably priced and down-to-earth little bar.🍹 🐦 Flying Bird Bar Recommended for those who want a more lively evening! The atmosphere at this place was really lively, and it's been open for many years. For those of you visiting Lijiang between November and April, I just went to Shuhe Ancient Town in November and have compiled a complete list of my food, drinks, and fun from those two weeks! Shuhe Ancient Town is less crowded and more beautiful in winter, with great weather, so you can just copy my recommendations! 👇 🍜Food Recommendations: Restaurants recommended by locals 🔥A Popular, albeit run-down, restaurant Don't miss this Yunnan wild vegetable restaurant in Shuhe Ancient Town! I went there three times in two weeks, it's a true internet sensation, delicious and photogenic! The restaurant is located by the river, and in the evening, you can see the sunset reflected on the water – perfect for taking pictures! 📸 It gets very crowded, so remember to arrive at least half an hour early to get a seat. Their signature mint-fried pork ribs are a local specialty praised by everyone in Yunnan – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a must-order! Recommended dishes: Mint-fried pork ribs, Tibetan-style braised pork trotters, dry-fried potato pancakes, wild porcini mushroom fried rice. 🌸Feihua Snacks This stall, advertised as a Lijiang intangible cultural heritage snack, was a special detour! The stall was super clean, the auntie was very friendly, and there was a huge variety of snacks. Recommended: Roasted milk fan (a type of cheese), fried insects—those who dare to try insects shouldn't miss it, they're unexpectedly delicious. 🥞Amei Cake Stall The aroma was irresistible! The sweet fragrance of fresh flower cakes wafted from afar, so I couldn't resist buying a box. They had a natural floral flavor, 😋 I even bought another box to take home as gifts for friends! 🍵Cha Huohuo New Chinese Style Tea & Coffee Shop A hidden gem in Shuhe Ancient Town! Located in the heart of the town, it's a super comfortable place to sit after a long day of shopping. As soon as the lights come on in the evening, the atmosphere is amazing. Enjoying the river view and sipping tea makes you feel completely relaxed 🌿. The "Organic Dark Red Rose Tea" has a bright rose-red liquor, and you can see the plump, unfolding rose petals in the cup. No wonder it's called "Pretty Tea"! Recommended tea and snacks: "Organic Dark Red Rose Tea" and "Black Sesame and Gorgon Fruit Cake". 🎮Entertainment Recommendations: A fantastic experience you won't regret! 🧵Dyeing Family I was worried I wouldn't be good at it, but the owner was incredibly enthusiastic and patiently taught me how to tie and dye. Even beginners can easily learn! Tie-dyeing experiences are available at 39 and 59 yuan. I dyed a small square scarf, and the finished product is gorgeous—I felt so accomplished! 😎 You can even take it home as a souvenir—very meaningful! 🐦Flying Bird Bar The quintessential nighttime atmosphere in Shuhe Ancient Town! The decor is unique, adorned with countless string lights ✨. A folk band performs, and their music is very soothing. My friends and I ordered some beers, sat at the bar, and chatted while listening to music. 🥂Little Paris Bar A long-established bar recommended by a local friend! It's been open for decades for a reason; the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, unlike other noisy bars, making it perfect for a quiet time with friends. They have a wide variety of drinks; I ordered a specialty cocktail, and the taste was quite unique. The bartender even chatted about the history of Shuhe, which was super interesting! 🧥Clothing and Sun Protection Guide The climate in Shuhe Ancient Town during winter is truly comfortable! Almost every day is sunny and cloudless. Although the sun is warm and inviting, it's still winter, so a down jacket and a light inner layer are just right. Just got back from Lijiang! Shuhe Ancient Town is less crowded and more beautiful in November and December – perfect for strolling around in the sun and enjoying delicious food! Sharing my personal experience from my independent travel trip 👇 🌿 Reasons to visit Shuhe Ancient Town in November and December The weather is perfect! Warm sunshine during the day, and a light jacket for strolling through the ancient town in the evening; a gentle breeze makes for great photos; plenty of snow on the snow-capped mountains, perfect for taking pictures; fewer tourists, no need to squeeze in, even you can get a window seat at the bars! 🍜 My Hidden Gem Food List 🔥 A Popular, Unconventional Restaurant This restaurant is definitely in my top three favorite Yunnan restaurants during my travels. - Located in the heart of Shuhe Ancient Town, built right by the water! - The owner is incredibly welcoming, proactively introducing their specialties as soon as we entered; during the meal, they even asked if our tastes were to our liking – very thoughtful. - "Pretty Rice," a Yunnan restaurant that girls love to try – beautifully presented and delicious! Highly recommend the mint-fried pork ribs, stir-fried beef with wild mountain seasonings, and wild porcini mushroom fried rice – you can't go wrong with any of them! 🥢 Unreliable Noodle Shop The name sounds casual, but the taste is surprisingly satisfying! - A budget-friendly noodle shop hidden in an alley, frequented by locals. - I ordered a bowl of mixed mushroom noodles; the combination of vegetables and noodles was delicious. The fried egg 🍳 was also good, with a home-style flavor. You can eat your fill for around ten yuan on average! 🍢 Feihua Snacks If you want to try Lijiang's specialty snacks, head straight here! - A snack shop with intangible cultural heritage; you can find roasted milk fan, fried insects, and Naxi rice sausage. - Prices are clearly marked, and you can try it for just ten or eight yuan – perfect as a snack! 🍵 A must-visit tea and coffee shop for sunbathing 🌼 Tea Fire A modern Chinese-style tea and coffee shop recommended by many on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book). I specifically chose a sunny afternoon to come and soak up the sun and take some photos, and I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I entered! The third floor offers views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I ordered two pots of incredibly beautiful teas. I recommend the "Organic Dark Red Rose Tea" and the "Golden Chrysanthemum Tea." I originally came for the noodles, but I was first treated to a plate of dumplings – thin skin, soft yet chewy, bursting with juicy filling, and incredibly generous portions! The tea soup was as clear as a ruby, perfect for photos with a built-in filter. The large, blooming roses were absolutely gorgeous. Paired with new Chinese style desserts, the taste was simply divine. 🌃Nightlife: Flying Bird Bar Don't want to go to bed early? Head here! The folk singer's voice was so captivating. Order a couple of special drinks, sit by the window and enjoy the breeze. It's not as noisy as the bars in Dayan; listening to music in peace and quiet is the true feeling of a vacation. ❤️Shuhe Real Experience ▪️Advantages: Like a "large park in an ancient town," the pace is so slow you can completely relax. The feeling of avoiding the crowds is unparalleled. ▪️Minor Complaints: You can see trash and horse manure along the main road. It's pitch black at night without streetlights. I suggest heading back to your accommodation early. Overall!
