The hotel's restaurant environment is excellent, clean and tidy. I ordered Luoyang specialties and they didn't disappoint. It was great~
Checked into Dongshan Hotel, and arrived at about 1 o'clock. Had lunch at a nearby restaurant, on the first day of the Lunar New Year, and ordered a local specialty, the top Luoyang water banquet - Peony Bird's Nest, which was mainly made of shredded radish, but you really can't taste the shredded radish without telling me. It was said that the shredded radish was spread with a layer of flour, and then steamed in a steamer to make the soup. It had a sour and spicy taste of white pepper, with egg skin, ham shreds... Half a dozen braised meat buns, with vermicelli meat and bean paste [Facepalm] inside. There was a layer of sesame seeds at the bottom of the buns, which was quite fragrant... The environment and service were also good. It's not bad to eat here if you stay here [Coke] #Try the authentic old brand #Travel during the Spring Festival
1. Parking and Transportation ◦ Use the navigation system to select the northwest parking area (towards the entrance). The northeast parking area is the exit, approximately 3 kilometers from the entrance and prone to detours. ◦ Take the scenic area shuttle (10 yuan/person) directly to the entrance. Avoid private vehicles (you may be charged 30 yuan and need to walk an additional 800 meters). 2. Visiting Times and Crowds ◦ Avoid summer vacation and holidays. During peak season, queues at the entrance can reach up to 40 minutes. The grottoes are crowded, but are mostly on the shady side of the mountain, away from the sun. ◦ There is little information about the scenic area, so it is recommended to hire a guide in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to fully understand the history of the grottoes. 3. Return Journey Notes ◦ Scan the QR code to purchase your return ticket in advance to minimize waiting time. ◦ Make sure to read the directions (northwest/northeast parking areas) when boarding the bus to avoid going to the wrong parking lot. 4. Other Useful Information ◦ The lights come on at 7:30 pm, so you can plan an evening visit. The colors of the grottoes have mostly faded, and some of the Buddha heads have been damaged. The grottoes can be visited in conjunction with their historical context, offering both ornamental and educational value.
