The owner of the B&B we were staying at during our visit to Gulangyu Island in Xiamen recommended this place to us. He told us about tours around Xiamen and said the Fujian Tulou were worth a visit. He said he had just visited Yunshuiyao, a place with beautiful mountains and water, and that we shouldn't miss out on the authentic local Hakka cuisine. The owner specifically recommended this Fujian-Cantonese restaurant for us. The three of us didn't order much, so we just ordered these four specialties: ‼️The Hakka secret salt-wine chicken is freshly made and has a rich chicken flavor. The Hakka stir-fried Jiumentou with beef tripe and fresh beef, etc. ☝️It goes well with rice and is delicious, because we like spicy food. ‼️There's also a local speciality about fish that is very tender.
