The shacha soup base is very authentic and the hot pot ingredients are very rich. There are shrimps, clams, squids, etc. Every bite is authentic.
We went to Fuzhou for a few days this summer vacation. The most impressive thing was the food in Fuzhou. In the last two days, we left Fuzhou city and went to Pingtan Island for a tour. Before leaving, the inn owner recommended this nostalgia Fujian folk cuisine, saying that it was a more distinctive restaurant here, so we came to continue our Fuzhou food tour. 🍽【Food Guide】 📍Detailed address: Building 1, Building 6, Zone C, Phase 2, Xihang Seaside City 🚗Transportation Guide: We drove here by ourselves. There are parking spaces on the roadside, but the resources are very tight 🕙Business hours: 11:00-14:00 17:00-21:30 🍽Recommended dishes: 🐔Changting Pan-fried Mountain Chicken: This chicken should be free-range, with a firm and chewy texture. After marinating, the base flavor is very strong, and there is young ginger in it. It is really super fragrant and this chicken is especially good with rice, because it is very flavorful and not spicy. Children like this chicken very much. Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🦪Oyster stew with seaweed: We often eat oysters in Haikou, but we never thought that they would taste so fresh with seaweed! Especially after adding some peppers, the taste is really very strong. The taste of oysters is beyond words, but I think the best is seaweed. It is a great accompaniment to rice. If you haven't eaten it, you must try it. Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🐷Xianyou Jiuzhuan Tuchang: The name of the dish is the place name of Xianyou County. It should be a local method. The part of the large intestine is used. The selection of ingredients is very particular. The taste of the stew is particularly thorough, and the fishy smell is basically removed. The taste is relatively tough, but it may be a bit difficult for the elderly to chew. Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🐠Raw baked yellow croaker: This yellow croaker must be a very fresh live fish, with a fresh and tender taste. It is baked raw and fully flavored. There is rice wine to remove the fishy taste and a lot of garlic is added when baking, so the taste is very strong. In summary, it is the taste of braised + the taste of steamed! Recommendation index: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🖼Restaurant environment: We arrived at one o'clock in the afternoon, and there was just one table left for us. If we came at normal time, we would definitely have to wait for a seat. The decoration style is very traditional Chinese, which fits the name of Xiangshao very well. The serving speed is a little slow, but it is understandable, after all, the business is so good! 💰Per capita consumption: 4 people consumed 255 yuan, 64 yuan per person. 🍜Restaurant total score: 4.8/5 points #Local food #Try the authentic old brand

I'll be happy to answer them all! 🚶♀️ DAY 1 Fuzhou: Explore the ancient streets and visit the Zen Temple 8:30 AM Heading to the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys! The Giving Tree in the middle of Nanhou Street was incredibly quiet that morning, so I snapped it in just 5 minutes. Then we headed to the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall for a truly historical experience! 🇨🇳~ 11:30 AM Heading straight to Daming Food Street. The fish balls burst with juice, and the seared oysters were so fragrant you'll stomp your feet. Lunch was a complete chore! 🍡 2:30 PM Heading to Xichan Temple. Remember to wear long sleeves! Photography is forbidden inside the temple, so I obediently put my phone away and strolled around in complete peace and quiet. 🍃~ At 4:30 PM, I took the Gushan Cable Car. The sky was ablaze with orange and red at sunset, and the view below was all green. Every photo I took looked like a scene from a movie! 🌇 DAY 2: Fuzhou: Checking in at artistic spots At 9 AM, I arrived at Yantai Mountain. There's an old-style house with a coffee shop. I ordered a latte and sat by the entrance, snapping tons of Instagram photos. ☕~ At 11:30 AM, I went to Zuohai Park. The Ferris wheel had a refreshing color scheme, and the Little White Pagoda was so relaxing in the sun. It was so comfortable to sit on a bench and enjoy the breeze. 🎡~ At 4:30 PM, I headed to Zhongzhou Island! The Jiefang Bridge and the pink sky were a perfect match, and I squatted for 20 minutes to capture the stunning sunset. 🌉~ At 7:30 PM, I went to Shangxiahang. Luckily, we arrived early and got a front-row seat to watch the sunrise. The moment the orange sun popped out, everyone was in awe! 🌅 For breakfast, we had oyster pancakes with fish ball soup. They were so delicious I even had two bowls! The oyster pancakes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, absolutely amazing! 🥣 At 12:30 PM, we went to Tannan Bay and rented a beanbag (with a minimum order of drinks). It was so relaxing to just lie back and watch the turquoise sea. 💙~ At 1:50 PM, we arrived at Yuehai Bay. The swings were charged, but the place was quiet. The beach was super clean, and my bare feet felt so comfortable on the sand! 🎢~ For lunch, we had some nostalgic Fujian folk cuisine. The seafood was super fresh, and the crabs at the fisherman's stall were incredibly plump! 🦀 At 3:00 PM, we headed to Houyan Island and took a photo with the 68-nautical-mile marker. The wind was strong, but it was still a good idea. 🇨🇳~ For dinner, we had Wumei Mao Roast Duck, which was incredibly spicy. For supper, we went to a food stall that wasn't open today. The mantis shrimp were bigger than my hand, and I enjoyed them so much! 🦞 DAY 4: Pingtan: Watching the Sea and Picking Shells At 9:30 AM, we went to Changjiangao. After the tide went out, we picked up tons of conchs and clams. It was such a great feeling! 🐚~ At 12:30 PM, we took the most beautiful road around the island, from Beilanling to Jingsha. A 3-night, 4-day trip to Pingtan! It was incredibly relaxing with the kids. Two months overdue, here's our Pingtan travelogue! We went on a completely "lay-down" vacation. Even without a detailed itinerary, we still had a blast. Itinerary Overview We took the high-speed rail to Fuzhou and stayed there for one night. The next day, after dinner, we rented a car and drove to Pingtan, where we stayed for three nights. It rained in Fuzhou that day, so I didn't get to explore much, so I won't go into detail. Day 1: An unexpected surprise at the beach On the way to Pingtan, you'll pass Dalian Island, which is largely undeveloped and incredibly pristine. Use the navigation system to Yueju Village, and you'll see Windmill Sea along the way. The winding mountain road is a bit tricky to navigate. There's a mudflat at our destination, a truly free spot for beach catching. It's incredibly sparsely populated, and small crabs are everywhere, easily accessible. The children were thrilled. A frequent beachgoer mentioned that there's even shellfish in the deep waters, so he brought a large net. We stayed overnight near Longwangtou. The B&B was average, but the value was decent. For just over 100, I thought it was worth it. Day 2: Beach Fun + Relaxing at the B&B We went to Longwangtou Beach during the day and rented a tent. The elderly and children dug sand and watched the ocean. My husband and I took a speedboat ride, which was thrilling! The driver played a super loud DJ and took us around the ocean, creating waves. At some angles, I felt like I was practically tucked into the water. I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart. The jelly sea there was truly beautiful, though; it was crystal clear. For lunch, we had a famous clay pot porridge restaurant. It was so-so, I wouldn't recommend it. After lunch, we went straight back to the B&B to relax. We didn't like crowds, so we chose the Yaqin Bay Villa on the southern route. We stayed there for two nights and loved it. But a word of warning, don't choose this place if you're not driving. Transportation is inconvenient, and meals require a long journey. There's a clean beach right outside the B&B, shared by several nearby B&Bs. The room we stayed in was high up on the hillside, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning view. It had the relaxed feel of a small fishing village, and the whole family loved it. It was uncrowded, and the kids could run around freely on the beach. While there was a reef area for catching seafood, it was a bit dangerous and not suitable for children, so we just collected shells on the beach. In the evening, we went to Xiangchong Fujian Cuisine, which was the best meal I had in Pingtan. Day 3: Kid Sick, Enjoying a Relaxed Dining This morning, my kid suddenly came down with a viral cold and a fever, so I rushed him to the hospital. In the afternoon, while my kid was resting, I checked out Haidaoshu. There's beach seating there. I ordered a drink, listened to the waves, and relaxed. It was so relaxing. The view was expansive, and there weren't many people. There was a little bit of trash on the beach near the ocean, but overall, it was okay. The drinks were reasonably priced, and it was perfect for taking photos. In the evening, while my kid was feeling better, we went to Tannan Bay. The previous two days had been pretty quiet, so seeing so many people was a bit of a shock. It was low tide, and the sand in areas previously covered by the sea was coarse and rough. I really don't recommend visiting during low tide. We played for a little over half an hour before leaving and grabbed some food from the food stall across the street to take back to the B&B. The food was pretty average. Honestly, Pingtan doesn't have much to offer in terms of culinary specialties. Day 4: Check-out and return trip. A warning about pitfalls. Packed up, checked out, and headed home. My biggest tip: If you're traveling with young children, it's best to drive the entire trip yourself! High-speed rail is a confined space with long periods of time and harbors viruses and bacteria, making it incredibly troublesome if your child gets sick. Fortunately, I had a flexible schedule this time, otherwise I wouldn't have had much fun. If you're traveling with children, I highly recommend the southern route. You can stop and go, rest when you're tired, and it's incredibly comfortable. What unexpected situations have you encountered while taking your children to the island? If you know of any B&Bs or hidden gems along Pingtan's southern route where you can relax and unwind, please let me know! #PingtanIsland #PingtanTour #IslandTourWithChildren #Self-DriveTour #PingtanB&B
