➡️This is a small place a Pingtan local took me to. ✔️ It's one of those neighborhood eateries I've been eating at since I was a kid! 📍|Han's Fried Bun Shop^ 🏠The shop is located downstairs in a neighborhood building, with two shops on both sides of a small alley, allowing you to order and eat at the other. 💫The ambiance isn't anything to write home about❌, and the service certainly isn't anything to shout about❌. It's just the kind of down-to-earth, no-frills place that locals love. 👏🏻I recommend ordering their signature three-piece set; it practically represents their local flavors. ✅【Fried Buns】The fried buns are perfectly crispy and charred, so a girl can easily eat 2-4 without much of a problem😋. The meat filling is well-seasoned, and the crust is a little crispy, similar to Shanghai shengjian👀. The skin is a bit thicker than shengjian, giving it a northern noodle-like feel. ✅ [Tofu Soup] Tofu soup is a bit different from the simple southern soups 😎. It's packed with ingredients, and 🤩 the broth is actually thickened with a thin starch, which is perfect for a northerner like me who loves soup. ✅ [Fish Ball Soup] Pingtan's fish balls are a must-try. They come in both round and long varieties, but each one is incredibly chewy. A touch of vinegar in the broth actually makes the fish ball soup even more delicious! 🍂 Pingtan can be a bit cool in autumn, and the wind 🌊 carries a hint of dampness. Time seems to slow down here, allowing you to watch the sunrise and sunset with your loved one and enjoy a romantic island experience all your own. 📍Attraction Information - Houyan Island: It feels like the end of the world and is the closest destination to Taiwan, so the time spent exploring the attractions is quite long. - Longfengtou Beach: Closest to the city, but lacking in character. Pingtan Island's ocean isn't particularly blue. - Xianrenjing Scenic Area: It's divided into three sections: Xianren Valley, Xianren Peak, and Xianrenjing. The "Xianren Valley" that many people check in online is a bit photo-deceptive, relying heavily on post-production color correction. There are also huge lines of people taking photos, making it quite crowded. The best views of this scenic area are from Immortal Peak. Looking down, you can see the ocean-view trail and the rustic local fishing village. - Mirror Sand Black Stone Beach: Black rocks dot the beach, perfect for capturing dark-themed photos. The black reef stretches for 300 meters along the seashore. It's rarely crowded, so you can take photos as you please, with stunning views both near and far. - Beigang Cultural and Creative Village: See the unique houses and fishing village scenery. - Tannan Bay: A sparsely populated, stunning bay with a seaside trail. - Jiangjun Mountain: Pingtan Island has its own version of Altay. - Dafu Bay (Little White Bridge): Standing on the bridge, you can admire the vast expanse of the sea, perfect for couples. 🗺 Itinerary (Two-Day Trip) - Day 1: Stay at Longfengtou Beach → Watch a stunning sunrise → Head to Xianrenjing → See "Little Iceland" and the incredibly Instagrammable black sand beach → Head to Beigang Cultural and Creative Village → Cycle the scenic island route with your partner. - Day 2: Go to Houyan Island on the southern route → Then to Tannan Bay → Take a taxi to Jiangjun Mountain → Finally, visit Dafu Bay to see the Little White Bridge. 🏨 Accommodation Recommendations - For a comfortable and convenient stay, Pingtan's city area is your top choice 🏙. It's bustling with business, has a wide variety of delicious food, and even offers night markets. 📣 - For an immersive island experience, B&Bs near Beigang Village and Longwangtou Beach are also great options. 🏡 Open your window in the morning and you'll see the ocean—perfectly romantic! 🚗 Transportation Fly to Fuzhou and rent a car or take public transportation to the island in an hour! 🍱 Food Recommendations 1. Minzhilan: A restaurant specializing in Fujian cuisine, popular with locals. The atmosphere, food, and service are all excellent. 2. Yiwan Lanwang Golden Sturgeon Porridge: A friend recommended it to me. The golden sturgeon crab is a local specialty. I highly recommend their marinated crab; it's delicious with the porridge! 3. Lanyue Seafood Restaurant: The seafood is freshly picked and slaughtered, so you can enjoy the freshness. The prices are also quite reasonable! Even with a large order, it was only 150 yuan per person! 4. Han's Fried Buns: A large bun with pork and scallions costs only 2 yuan. You'll get sick of eating too much, but it's affordable. You can also try oyster omelets, shrimp cakes, scalloped snails, squid, razor clams, salt and pepper dragon fish, octopus, crab, salt and pepper mantis shrimp, prawns, and eight-treasure sturgeon rice. 💡Tips Getting to Jingsha Beach requires a steep climb, which is difficult and slippery. Remember to wear comfortable shoes; don't wear slippers. Pingtan is famous for its blue tears, a type of plankton that glows blue when the waves surge during red tides.
