Umeko Taiwanese Cuisine

This is a very famous seafood restaurant in Taipei. Many celebrities have eaten there. The crab roe and glutinous rice are very good. The mullet roe is a specialty of Taiwan and is very nutritious, but it tastes a bit fishy.

We came here at noon and there was a seat available. We ordered a lot of dishes for two people, which cost 2800 yuan. We were not disappointed with any of the dishes, such as loofah, pig's feet, pig's liver, three cup chicken, and red crab rice cake. The rice cake was especially delicately made and very delicious. Although it was a little expensive, you must try it. Very good.

Had an Unagi set meal at Umeko. Others in our group ordered a set meal and said it was very good, simply amazing. Fresh ingredients and well prepared. I have had many Unagi rice dishes and this one is much better than most in Japan. Very good.

Since it was my first time in Taipei and I was not familiar with the local food, I asked the waitress to recommend some. The recommended food was really delicious and the quantity was just right. The small dessert given after the meal had a familiar taste.

Meizi Restaurant is a Taiwanese restaurant on Linsen North Road in Zhongshan District, Taipei. It specializes in authentic Taiwanese cuisine using a variety of seasonal fresh ingredients. The signature baked crab we ordered was large and meaty, and the crispy tofu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a seafood flavor. Overall, it is a very cost-effective restaurant.
