The stone steps by the river are a great place to sit, enjoying preserved meats while watching the boatwomen row, experiencing the slow pace of life. 5. Suikang Money Exchange → Exit (approx. 40 minutes) Suikang Money Exchange retains its old counters and abacuses, exuding a retro feel, perfect for taking nostalgic photos. Continue walking to Taihe Bean Curd Shop to buy some freshly made stinky tofu—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious with chili sauce. Finally, stop at the old street pastry shop near the exit and grab some glutinous rice cakes for your return trip—sweet, chewy, and not too greasy.
