Zhangjiajie&#39;s famous straw hat noodles are located on Renmin Road near Dayongfu. You can go in the alley next to Montagut. We were not sure where we went that day. The straw hat noodles got their name because the boss likes to hang a straw hat on the cart. There is only one kind of noodles, boiled in clear soup, with braised pork and soup. Although the braised pork looks a bit fatty, it melts in your mouth and is very delicious. It&#39;s only ￥4/bowl.

张家界盛名已久的草帽面了，原来就在大庸府附近的人民路，在梦特娇旁边的巷子进去，那天我们不确定没进去的地方。草帽面因为老板喜欢在推车上挂草帽而得名，面就一种，清汤煮面，加入肉燥和汤汁，虽然肉燥看上去有点肥，但入口即化，非常好吃，才￥4/碗。

就是当地特色小吃，不强调环境的话，性价比非常高，我所在的二类城市，一碗葱花面还5、6元呢，而草帽面是有肉的肉汤面，而我在当地吃了几家，感觉她家最合我的口味，而且当天亲身经历的小插曲，更证明了做生意如做人，她家不会差的

This is my third time visiting this picturesque town where modernity and ethnicity blend seamlessly. The first two times were for special forces mountain climbing; this time I&#39;m doing a city walk. 🚶&zwj;♀️
Transportation Recommendation: The high-speed train from Changsha takes 2 hours. Shopping in the city center is mostly on foot. If you can ride an electric scooter, there are shared options available. If you get too tired, a taxi is also convenient.
Food Recommendation 🍜🥤: Cold noodles with pig&#39;s head, Yongcheng Shibazi (a local specialty), Fuzhengyi Sanxiaguo (a local specialty), Cui Cha (a type of tea), and Laomian Xiaolongbao (old-fashioned steamed buns).

Accommodation Recommendation: I stayed at a Tujia-style guesthouse near the Tianmen Mountain cable car. The town isn&#39;t big; you can sleep in, stroll along the riverside and pedestrian street, and enjoy the food and drinks &ndash; it&#39;s very satisfying.

Next time, with good weather, I&#39;ll challenge myself to climb the 999 steps of Tianmen Mountain (locals recommend it&#39;s most beautiful on a snowy day).



No. 4 of Light Bites in Zhangjiajie

It was raining, so I went to the nearby Aunt Qin Restaurant for dinner. The environment is quite unique. In addition to the Tujia three-pot and cured pig feet stewed with dried radish, all other dishes are Tujia specialties in bowls. Roasted pig&#39;s trotters, Aunt Qin&#39;s secret cake, Aunt Qin&#39;s mixed residue, medicinal food platter, mother&#39;s fried meat, etc. The dishes are large and not salty. Paired with homemade rice wine, my stomach is full again.
PS: Aunt Qin has two branches in Zhangjiajie. I prefer this one. The nostalgic environment and decoration are very suitable for taking pictures. I recommend the pig&#39;s trotters, which are burnt and chewy. Don&#39;t miss the homemade rice wine. Basically, you don&#39;t have to wait for a seat. The dishes are large, so you should be careful when dining with two people.

First meal after arriving in Zhangjiajie. I searched and found this restaurant close to the hotel. It is a local specialty. The giant salamander is a specialty dish for 288 yuan, but the price is not cheap. It is mainly for tasting. I wanted to eat some green leafy vegetables, but it was served like this. I basically didn&#39;t eat a bite. It was too unpalatable! Why do good dishes have to be cut into so small pieces? It looks like chicken feed!

At the corner of the road, just before Xibu Street, I ordered a bowl of casserole noodles, a cup of red bean and taro ball ice, a few slices of lettuce, half a slice of luncheon meat and two quail eggs in the casserole noodles. The taro balls in the red bean and taro ball ice were delicious and chewy, but the red beans were too raw and not cooked until the skin was peeled, so there was no taste at all. I should have bought normal red beans.
