The memorial hall is quiet in September, making it a great place to explore at your leisure. It houses Sun Yat-sen's former residence, the memorial hall, and many historical relics, offering insights into his life. There's also "Cuiheng Village," where many traditional houses are preserved. Walking through the village feels like stepping back in time. Admission is free, and the tour takes about two hours. Remember to bring your ID; it's required for entry. Zhan Garden: A "Lingnan Garden"—super elegant! September in Zhan Garden is quite cool. Walking along the paths within the garden, you'll see pavilions, towers, and flowing water, creating a truly Jiangnan-inspired atmosphere. A taxi to Sun Yat-sen's Former Residence is around 30 yuan. You can also take bus number 12 for a direct 5 yuan. Bus number 206 is conveniently located to Zhan Garden. Accommodation: Prioritize hotels near Shiqi District, which are close to local restaurants and convenient for strolling the pedestrian streets in the evening. The hotel I stayed in was 150 yuan per night, clean and tidy, and only a 5-minute walk to the pedestrian street—super convenient! ⚠️ Tips to avoid these pitfalls! Don't buy "high-priced souvenirs" at Sun Yat-sen's former residence! For example, the "Sun Yat-sen bronze statue" is twice as expensive as it is online. If you want it, buy it online. Don't trust "street touts"! They claim to have "authentic squab" (a type of pigeon), but the taste is average and expensive. Go directly to a long-established restaurant. The temperature difference between morning and evening in Zhongshan is huge in September and October! Wear short sleeves during the day, and be sure to bring a light jacket at night to avoid catching a cold. The Spring Festival is coming soon I took my kids to Zhongshan for a trip during the holiday. This two-day and one-night trip was joyful and fulfilling. I must share it with you. Tents, flying chess, and cool car model beds attracted the children instantly and shouted that they wanted to sleep by themselves at night! 🍰Afternoon tea: Yiqiao Restaurant on the 58th floor After checking in, go straight to Yiqiao Restaurant on the 58th floor to taste the Ferris wheel afternoon tea. The tea is exquisite and the dishes are beautifully presented. Sitting next to the Ferris wheel afternoon tea, overlooking the city scenery of Zhongshan, it is very comfortable! 🌇Observation deck: 360-degree observation deck on the 60th floor Around 5:30, we went to the 60th floor observation deck to watch the sunset. When you come to the rooftop, you can see the whole city of Zhongshan. It is healing and romantic.
