Yolanda_zyThis is the most satisfying vegetarian restaurant on Mount Putuo. I mainly ate here during the two days in the mountains. The restaurant environment is very fresh and clean. I ordered many dishes, all of which tasted good, vegetarian and meaty, and the taste was also very good. The grilled eel can be seen as the bottom layer of seaweed, and the upper layer is not sure whether it is mashed potatoes or something, and it really has the fresh taste of the eel. The pork ribs and rice cakes are also very delicious, with a strong meat flavor and chewy rice cakes. Mapo tofu and curry pot are both very good dishes, and they are still very delicious without meat. The cabbage and chestnuts are original, relatively light, and have a sweet fragrance. The fried rice here is also very fragrant [naughty] I will come again in the future, and I guess this is the designated canteen.

This should be the best vegetarian restaurant on Putuoshan Island. The workmanship is very fine and the environment is also very elegant. The taste is very good. The overall feeling is very good, and the service level is also good. It's just that some dishes are too oily. My family is relatively comfortable eating, but I feel a little oily. Because we were worshipping Buddha, we didn't order those colored papers shaped like meat, but ordered some dishes that looked like vegetables themselves. The overall taste is still very good. It should be considered a very good restaurant on the island. Worth recommending,
There are quite a few people in the store, and there are piles of books at the door for people to take. It really feels that the business philosophy is very different. All the dishes are made of vegetarian food, even the toothpicks on the table are all starch. If there are elderly people at home who eat vegetarian food and chant Buddhist scriptures, "you can consider holding a birthday banquet here." The dishes are very delicate, and many of the meat dishes are so real that they can be mistaken for the real thing in both appearance and taste. The Beijing-style shredded pork with soy sauce left a deep impression!
I went to Putuo Mountain to fulfill a vow and burn incense. I wanted to eat vegetarian food for lunch, so I searched for Zaozishu and found it. After descending Foding Mountain, I headed there. However, I discovered there was a long walk from the bus stop, and walking under the scorching sun was a real pain. If you're not very fit or can't stand the heat, don't bother going there specifically for a meal. We finally arrived at the restaurant, which was fortunately elegant and quiet, with good air conditioning, few people, and a friendly waiter. We ordered a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. The best ones were lotus root dumplings, sausages, tofu skin, and shiitake mushrooms. My parents said the sausages looked very meaty. However, as someone who's been to Zaozishu in Shanghai, I'd say the menu is much smaller, especially the fried noodles, which were quite unappetizing. I recommend avoiding them.
Although the dishes at the Ningbo branch are different from those at the Shanghai branch, they are just as delicious and the portions are larger, making them more cost-effective.
