Things to do in Changhua

When I first came to Taiwan in 2012, I was actually here just to trace my roots to Luo Dayou's well-known song "Lukang Town". That's why I took the train and then the bus during my trip around the island and came to Lukang, Changhua. I didn't expect to go to Mo Ru Lane, which became a hot topic because of its name. At that time, I didn't know why this ordinary passage, which was much narrower than a normal street, was given this somewhat unpresentable name, but after I came back and searched on Baidu, I understood the real meaning. It turned out that this was an alley with a history of more than 200 years. Because it was narrow, only one person could pass through. If two people crossed each other, it was inevitable that they would have physical contact, so it was nicknamed "Mo Ru Lane". But the more practical and closer to the truth reason is that according to the local older generation, the reason why this alley is so narrow is mainly because the local residents try to reduce the distance between houses in order to block the strong sea breeze. But there is attraction only when there is a topic. Now this name that does not explore the truth has indeed successfully brought in crowds.

The day I went was too cloudy, so I didn’t get to see the sunset view. The wind was really strong and it was quite crowded, but it was still a beautiful place overall

The Paper Box King Creative Park located at the entrance of Qingjing Farm is full of highlights. Although there are similar Paper Box Kings in Zhouzhuang, Yueli and other places, they all seem to be imitating this one. There are slides made of cardboard, various lights, various toys, and even a small train made of cardboard that shuttles through the entire venue. It's very interesting! You can also eat here when you are tired of playing, which is very good!

I really enjoy to walk around in the Audit Village . The design is amazing and there’s lots of shop to see’

It is recommended to visit around 4 pm. onwards to avoid the heat during the day. There might be some venders in the park, but I didn't see much of arts exhibitions when I visited.

The Gu family, a wealthy family in Lukang, made money from doing business in Taipei. They returned to Lukang and built a house. Now that I have seen the whole house, it looks very grand. What’s more, the environment was also very comfortable at that time. Later they donated it and opened it. Let us all come in and visit. There are many supplies and furniture left over from that time. It is worth visiting.

Calligraphy Greenway is a large green parkway in the center of Taichung City, ranging from the Ching Kuo Parkway in front of the Museum of Natural Science and between the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Fine Arts Parkway. It is also one of the cultural and creative areas of Taichung City. There are many interesting and unique shops and cultural and creative works beside the parkway for visitors to visit and try out. Young artists can find their own little world here, making the artistic and fresh atmosphere more intense.

Perfect place to learn about classical Chinese art and literature. Very well preserved and presented artefacts with easy guides to follow along. Highly recommend a guide or audio tour to make the most of the museum tour. The staff were super friendly, kind and helpful to everyone.
