Qizi Bay

4.7/5
233 reviews
Qizi Bay is backed by Changhua Ridge to the east and faces the sea to the west, with a coastline that winds in an S-shape, curving like a crescent moon. It is characterized by abundant stones, white sand, and calm waves, featuring both fine, soft, white sandy beaches and rocky coasts with rugged, craggy reefs. Colorful pebbles resembling chess pieces are scattered among the reefs, which is how it got its name. The coast here is not just a single, straight sandy beach, but rather a mix of different landforms like sandy shores and rocky coasts, where you can see a relatively complete natural coastal environment. Because it is located on the west coast of Hainan, the sunset view is also a prominent natural feature here. In the evening, the sea, reefs, and sky display different colors as the light changes.Changjiang · 37.5 km from downtown

Changjiang Huangdi Cave is nestled against the mountains and by the water. It is a large limestone karst cave formed primarily by long-term erosion from groundwater, and it remains warm in winter and cool in summer. The cave entrance is located right by the Nanyao River. Viewed from a distance, it resembles a large water buffalo with its mouth open. The cave is approx. 60m wide, 130m deep, and 25m high, with an area of approx. 7,800 square meters. The cave hall is arched, flat, and spacious, capable of accommodating tens of thousands of people. Inside the cave, winding paths meander, swallows fly about, and the stalactites are colorful and varied. Visitors walking through it will find it full of interest. To the southeast of the cave, there is a 90m-long natural stone formation featuring a throne with a stone figure sitting on it, flanked by stone guards. This scene resembles an emperor ascending the throne, which is why this cave is named "Changjiang Huangdi Cave." Behind the stone formation is the "Imperial Palace." At the entrance, there are three horizontal stones that look like hanging colorful brocades, and behind the door stands a stone pillar carved with dragons and phoenixes. On the palace ceiling, there is a skylight-like opening that is 2m long and 1.5m wide. Light shines through it, making the cave dazzling. You can climb the stone steps to reach the top of the cave through the skylight to view the surrounding mountains, rice paddies, and Li ethnic villages.Changjiang · 38.5 km from downtown

Qizi Bay is located on Beidou East Road in Changjiang Li Autonomous County. The scenery here is beautiful, with desert-like rocky terrain on one side and sparkling blue waters on the other. There are many speed limits after exiting the highway, alternating between 40, 60, and 80, so please pay attention to your speed. It is currently still under development, and admission is free. There is a wooden boardwalk built along the coast, where you can enjoy views of Qizi Bay from all directions. The boardwalk has small exits at intervals, allowing you to go up the hillside to see the tropical rainforest or down to the beach. There are exits from the boardwalk where you can go down; the beach is mostly small pebbles, with a gentle slope and small waves, and the seawater is clearer and cleaner than at Dajiao Beach. The boardwalk extends all the way up the hillside, offering panoramic views of the sea.Changjiang · 35.5 km from downtown

A hidden gem on Hainan's western coast, Qizi Bay boasts stunning scenery and fewer crowds, perfect for a slow-paced vacation. I've always felt that Hainan's western coast possesses a rugged, unspoiled beauty, and Qizi Bay is a prime example. Compared to the hustle and bustle of Sanya, it feels like a tranquil paradise. 🌊 About the seascape: The water at Qizi Bay is crystal clear, a deep turquoise. The sand is incredibly fine, feeling wonderful underfoot. The most unique feature is the diverse rock formations, perfect for taking photos. If you visit in the evening, the sunset is absolutely breathtaking, turning the sky into a sea of orange – truly a stunning sight. 📍 About location: Located in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, it's a relatively less-visited bay in Hainan. While transportation isn't as convenient as in Sanya, this is precisely its charm – preserving its pristine natural beauty. It's also a filming location for the sixth season of the popular Taiwanese variety show "Back to Field" (Shayutang Village is nearby), allowing you to see many familiar scenes. 💡 Travel Tips: It's recommended to drive or rent an electric scooter for easier exploration of the surrounding area. If you come in summer, remember to wear sunscreen; if it's winter (like in January where I am now), the sea breeze can be quite strong, so a windproof jacket is highly recommended. In summary: If you prefer a quiet place with fewer crowds and the sound of the waves, Qizi Bay will definitely not disappoint you.

April is the dry season, so the waterfall at Bawangling doesn't have a large flow. Combined with the hot weather, there are fewer tourists, and the scenery is just average. However, the air is still quite fresh. The winding mountain road leading to Bawangling seems more beautiful; the scenic area itself isn't as stunning as I imagined.

On November 25th, we went to Bawangling National Forest Park in Changjiang City. Since the park was still under construction, there were no direct buses to the scenic area, only tricycles. Because it was too early, there weren't any left, so we had to walk for over 70 minutes to the ticket office. The young man at the ticket office knew we had walked, and coincidentally, two girls who had driven up the mountain were checking tickets. He offered us a ride into the scenic area. There was still a long distance from the entrance to the gate, and the kind girls selflessly helped us, even returning to take us back to Changjiang City. While the scenery at Bawangling was beautiful, the two girls' actions made us feel the even more beautiful scenery and warmth of Hainan Island!

Huangdi Cave is located in Changjiang, Hainan, about 20km away from Bawangling, with a rugged mountain road. Huangdi Cave has two huge karst caves, which are relics of the Neolithic Age. Huangdi Cave is a free attraction suitable for self-driving tours. There are various stalactites in the cave, some of which are shaped like stone lions and some are shaped like Guanyin. About 2km from Huangdi Cave, you can reach the Ten-mile Gallery Observation Deck to see the towering rock walls and the quiet river water. This is the upper reaches of the Changhua River, and below is the Daguangba Reservoir.

Shayutang Village, originally an unknown small fishing village in Changjiang, Hainan, became famous because the sixth season of "Longing for Life" was filmed here. It is a model of the integration of culture and tourism. It is worth a stop on the way to Qiziwan.

There is the Changhua Ancient Temple, Xiaojiao Bay and other good spots for watching the sunset. The dried fish here are very big, and the seafood restaurants here are more expensive than those in big cities. Of course, this is also a feature of most areas in Hainan. ! Accommodation is not expensive.

Qizi Bay is located in the west coast of Hainan Island, in the west of Changjiang, 3 kilometers north of Changhua Town, and 55 kilometers from Shilu Town, Changjiang County. This bay is backed by Changhua Ridge in the east and connected to the sea in the west. It is about 20 kilometers long from east to west and is S-shaped. There are many rocks, sand, white waves and calmness. The water in this bay is clear and the sand is fine and soft, as white as silver. The coast is full of strange peaks, strange rocks, verdant trees, blooming mountain flowers, clear springs, bright sunshine, and spring-like weather all year round. It is a rare natural bathing place and an ideal place for sun bathing and sand bathing. The strange rocks are jagged and colorful, the trees are dense, the grass is green, the clear springs are singing, the silver beach is connected to the blue sea, and people's hearts enjoy flying.

Hainan Changjiang Haiwei National Wetland Park is located in the Shigangtang Wetland of Haiwei Town in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, with a total area of more than 300 hectares. Hainan Changjiang Haiwei National Wetland Park can be divided into two categories: artificial wetlands and swamp wetlands, and three types of wetlands: reservoir wetlands, shrub swamps, and herbaceous swamp wetlands. It is the natural "urban kidney" of Changjiang Li Autonomous County. It has large areas of wetlands, grasslands, beaches, mangrove conservation areas, bird habitats and coastal defense forests. Its landform types are plains and coastal beach landforms. There are 196 species of vascular plants in 79 families, 164 genera in Hainan Changjiang Haiwei National Wetland Park. Among them, the national second-level protected plants are water ferns and Dalbergia odorifera. There are 94 species of wild vertebrates in 16 orders, 40 families, and 9 species of national second-level wild protected animals. I visited Hainan Changjiang Haiwei Wetland Park a few years ago. There are patches of swamps, lush aquatic plants, and beautiful scenery of dancing water birds in the park. Now Haiwei Wetland Park has been upgraded to a national wetland park. When I visited it again, it was closed and entry was prohibited. I could only look for wild scenery outside the park.
