"Holy water of Fushan, auspicious Aobao", "Sand spruce forest, loyal waiting, epitome of the ancient culture of auspicious Aobao", this is the holy place for Mongolian sacrifice on Gongger grassland. How many perfect loves have been born from the meeting of Aobao, and the memorial service of Aobao inherits the immortal national culture. Baiyin Aobao Attraction is located on the northeast edge of Hunshandake Sandy Land, one of the nine parks of Keshiketeng World Geopark, in Baiyin Aobao Nature Reserve, adjacent to Gongger grassland. It is famous for the distribution of the original sand spruce forests that remain in the world. Sand spruce is a species that remains on the earth. It has created the miracle of desert life and has a strong function of preventing wind and fixing sand. Because of its long survival age and tenacious vitality, it is also known as "living fossil" and "biological gene bank" in the academic world. It is also the breeding base of spruce mother trees in China. The sand spruce is commonly known as "red stinky". It belongs to the genus Picea of the Pinaceae family. It is an evergreen tree that is cold-resistant and drought-resistant. It can not only regulate the climate and purify the environment, but also prevent wind and sand and protect the grassland. Whether standing on the Baiyin Aobao Mountain and looking at the spruce forest from afar, or standing by the Aobao River to admire the spruce, the straight and tall spruce trees are neat and majestic. The undulating spruce forest is dark green, light green, and golden, with a strong sense of layering. On the 13th day of the fifth lunar month every year, the Baiyinzhu Day and Aobao are solemnly held on the Baiyin Aobao Mountain. People have to wear their best clothes, kneel down in front of the Aobao, and have a full sheep banquet. Until today, the custom of the Mongolian people to worship Aobao has continued. This is Baiyin Aobao, where there are magnificent snowfields, vast spruces, and the brilliant glory buried deep in the years...Hexigten Banner · 40.6 km from downtown

Sika Deer Feeding in Chifeng

4.8
With the unique grassland and mountain ecology in eastern Inner Mongolia, Chifeng has become one of the few destinations in China that can combine sika deer viewing with nature education. The sika deer breeding here is mainly free-range. Visitors can feed them at close range under the guidance of professionals, observe the natural behavior of deer in a semi-wild environment, and experience the joy of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. Chifeng's sika deer breeding bases are mostly distributed around ecological protection areas such as Keshiketeng Banner and Kalaqin Banner. Relying on natural grassland and forest resources, they form a "grassland-forest-wetland" composite habitat environment. Some bases are equipped with deer culture halls, which allow visitors to understand the physiological characteristics, historical and cultural implications, and modern breeding techniques of sika deer through specimen displays and popular science lectures. Parent-child families can also participate in activities such as "adopting fawns" and "making deer grain" to deepen their awareness of ecological protection. No matter when you visit, Chifeng can provide a stable deer feeding experience. In spring, you can enjoy the lively postures of deer during their molting period, in autumn, you can participate in the picking of deer products, and in winter, you can experience the reindeer culture in the snowy forest. This mode of combining natural observation, ecological education and humanistic customs makes the deer feeding trip in Chifeng go beyond simple entertainment and become a life education practice that touches the soul.China · Hexigten Banner

Jiangjun Lake is located within Saihanba. Legend has it that during the great battle between Emperor Kangxi and Galdan, the cannon fire scattered Galdan's camel formation. The intense vibrations altered the local geography, causing groundwater to surge up and form the lake. The lake features vast waters surrounded by mountains, with reeds scattered gracefully throughout. Every day around 6:00 PM, a large herd of horses gallops to the lakeside to drink. The sight of the horses entering the water and splashing is truly beautiful. As night falls, spend a night in a yurt by the lake. Sit around a bonfire and enjoy the soulful sounds of the morin khuur and the stirring, melancholic Mongolian long songs—it creates a unique atmosphere. Late at night, savor the romantic ambiance of the quiet grassland night, while the rustling of the wind through the reeds lulls you to sleep. Wake up early to breathe in the fresh grassland air, watch the morning light on the lake, and see the first rays of sunlight paint everything in gold.Hexigten Banner · 78.7 km from downtown

Not too far from the Baiyinaobao Nature Reserve, I couldn't help getting off the car to take photos of the beautiful scenery on the roadside. I found that I could enter the pasture, so I decided to take a rest (walking along the wheel tracks without driving randomly). When the herdsmen came over, they greeted us and were very nice to talk to without making things difficult for us. The scenery was so beautiful that I didn't want to leave.

The Royal Deer Park was the official enclosure for sika deer during the Qing Dynasty, marking the beginning of artificial sika deer breeding in my country. In 1895, due to the need for tribute, Empress Dowager Cixi granted hunters permission to build the Royal Deer Park in the Shengjing Hunting Grounds (present-day area from Bingla Mountain to Xiaosiping in Xifeng County, Liaoning Province). This area was once the center of the imperial hunting grounds, with 108 hunting grounds, 32 of which were located in Liaoyuan City. Today, Xifeng is known as the "Hometown of Deer in China" because of the history of the Royal Deer Park.

Free exhibition, free parking. The courtyard shape, the high steps in the main hall are very imposing. The grassland culture is displayed, and the Hongshan lineage is inherited. There are few people on weekdays, and the atmosphere is very quiet, suitable for taking a long time to see. The Mongolian chess carvings are exquisite, and I looked at them one by one for a long time.
