Itinerary
In the morning, we will depart from your hotel and head to the first stop of our journey - Mount Qingcheng (Front Mountain). As one of the birthplaces of Taoism, Mount Qingcheng is renowned for its evergreen scenery and secluded winding paths. You may choose to hike up the mountain or take the attraction's cable car (at your own expense) to conserve energy. Along the way, you'll pass through dense forests and visit famous Taoist temples like Tianshi Cave and Shangqing Palace, experiencing the tranquility and mystique of ancient temples hidden in the mountains. Enjoy a free lunch near the attraction at noon.
In the afternoon, we will take a bus to the Dujiangyan Scenic Area. Moving from the mountains to the riverside, we will explore the marvel of ancient human hydraulic engineering from a different perspective. Following the tour route, you will witness firsthand the Fish Mouth Levee that divides the Min River, the Feisha Weir for sediment discharge and flood control, and the Bottle-Neck Channel that regulates water flow. Gain a deeper understanding of how this engineering feat tamed the Min River and continues to nourish the Chengdu Plain to this day.
After the tour concludes, we will return by vehicle to downtown Chengdu, marking the end of this day's journey through natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and ancient technology.
