Paiku Co is at an altitude of nearly 4,600 m, with an area of nearly 300 sq km. The lake is shaped like a treasure gourd, surrounded by mountains on three sides with open shores, and is one of the few large lakes in Shigatse. The lake is supplied by precipitation and meltwater from snow-capped mountains, and its water is slightly brackish. To the south, you can see Mount Shishapangma and its surrounding snow-capped mountains. The snow-capped mountains, lake water, and plateau grasslands together form the distinctive natural view of Paiku Co. The lakeside grasslands are vast, and you can sometimes see wild animals such as Tibetan wild donkeys and Tibetan antelopes running and foraging, while water birds like ruddy shelducks often swim on the lake surface.Gyirong · 59.8 km from Saga

The scenery was stunning; we were lucky with the weather and managed to capture the golden sunrise over the mountains and the Milky Way. However, aside from taking photos, the long drive was exhausting, so be aware of altitude sickness and the need for wind protection and warmth. Other services were limited, and there wasn't much to do, making it less convenient. Overall, it's worth a visit!

This time, I booked a small group tour of 8 people from Shigatse to the Mount Everest base camp, and the overall experience was excellent. The driver drove very steadily, and the schedule was reasonable. He reminded everyone along the way to be aware of altitude sickness, dress warmly, and prioritize safety, and was patient and helpful when needed. Although Mount Everest was constantly shrouded in clouds due to weather conditions, preventing us from seeing the entire peak, which was a bit of a disappointment, natural weather is uncontrollable, and the itinerary itself was fine. The vehicle was clean, and with a small group, it wasn't too crowded. The high-altitude valleys, mountain passes, and Everest Base Camp along the way were all very unique, and the driver was responsible, without rushing us or forcing us to spend money. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations, making it a safe and smooth trip to Mount Everest, and I highly recommend it.

Driver Danba Dunzhu is extremely responsible, especially punctual, and has excellent driving skills. He carefully reminds drivers of all safety precautions every time the car is restarted. He is the best driver I've encountered so far in my trip to Tibet.

Peiku Tso is located at the border of Gyirong County and Nyalam County in Shigatse City, Tibet, right next to National Highway 219, with an altitude of about 4,590 meters. It is the largest inland lake in Shigatse, with clear blue waters facing the majestic snow-capped mountains. The wooden boardwalk is a landmark and popular spot for taking photos.

I was satisfied with the overall Sakya Monastery day trip from Shigatse. There was a minor issue encountered along the way, but the tour operator communicated promptly and handled it with sincerity and responsibility. Sakya Monastery has a long history; the ancient temple, with its red, white, and gray walls, houses tens of thousands of ancient scriptures and exquisite murals, possessing immense cultural value. This tour included a guided tour by a professional monastery guide. The guide provided detailed explanations of the historical connections between Phagpa, Sakya, and Central China. Many of the stories behind the murals and artifacts are completely incomprehensible without explanation, so a guided tour is a must when visiting Sakya. The itinerary was relaxed, allowing ample time for leisurely exploration, and overall, it was a reliable tour.
