Located in the center of Ding'an County, Hainan Province, it features places of importance to Taoist culture. The founder of Southern-sect Taoism, Bai Yuchan, also one of the five ancestors of the South-sect, once lived in seclusion here. Many Taoist temples, such as Yuchan Pavilion, Temple of the God of Wealth and Wenchang Pavilion are distributed along the mountain. The film "Personal Tailor" was filmed here. Besides Taoist culture, this place is also related to Pangu culture. Legend has it that this peak appeared after Pangu created heaven and earth and was made from the Pangu's giant nose. It absorbed the essence of heaven and earth so it became a lucky place.Ding'an · 14 km from downtown

The 1942·Youth Scenic Area recreates scenes from the films "Back to 1942" and "Youth," bringing the cinematic world to life. The 1942 section replicates Chongqing streets from "Back to 1942," featuring 91 buildings showcasing the architectural styles of four major Yangtze River cities (Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Chongqing) from the 1920s–1940s. Among these, 25 structures are meticulously restored based on historical photographs, including the Xishan Bell Tower, Cathay Theater, and Shanghai Rongguang Grand Theater—each with its own nostalgic story waiting to be discovered. Fanghua AttractionThis attraction was specifically designed and built for the 2017 New Year film "Youth," serving as the primary filming location for 80% of the movie's scenes. Old Beijing attractionThis architectural complex captures the essence of old Beijing's charm, authentically recreating the city's historical ambiance from the founding of New China through the 1970s. Towering bell and drum towers stand alongside Ming-Qing era structures and imposing Soviet-style buildings, showcasing a grand, dignified yet minimalist aesthetic. The design faithfully embodies Beijing's cultural heritage, with special nods to the hutong alleyways featured in the film "Mr. Six," amplifying the authentic Beijing flavor. Shishan Village scenic attractionThis Haikou volcanic area features distinctive stone village architecture, built around natural volcanic craters with a lighthouse as the centerpiece, creating a beautiful rural landscape. Inspired by the "bird's nest" from the movie If You Are the One 2, the redesigned hotel and volcano-themed guesthouses allow visitors to relive cinematic moments while offering unique accommodation experiences. The Star Avenue is set up along the corridor at the main entrance of the attraction, featuring handprints and signatures of top-tier Chinese film stars and directors. Inspired by Hollywood's Walk of Fame and Hong Kong's Avenue of Stars, each 1.2m-high Art Deco-style pedestal is crafted from solid marble through manual cutting, carving, and polishing, allowing visitors to take photos with their favorite celebrities' handprints. Ding'an Ancient City is located in Dingcheng Town, Ding'an County, Hainan Province. It is one of the most well-preserved ancient county seat walls in Hainan and was designated as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level in 2019. The ancient city was first built in the second year of the Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty (1466). After subsequent construction and repairs, it formed a traditional urban layout with the county government office at its core and crisscrossing streets, with a history spanning over 500 years. The existing ruins mainly include parts of the city walls, city gates, and the county government office. The bluestone-paved streets and ancient buildings collectively preserve the spatial characteristics of a traditional county seat. Built along the Nandu River, the ancient city was historically an important area for local politics, commerce, and daily life. The remaining West Gate, North Gate, and other ruins allow visitors to get a direct sense of the layout of an ancient city, while the old streets within the city continue to maintain a simple, authentic atmosphere. The county government office building, after protection and restoration, also presents the basic layout of a county-level government office from the Ming and Qing dynasties.Ding'an · 4.7 km from downtown

Great place to visit due a long layover. It is best to go first thing in the morning when there are no crowds, the heat is bearable, and all of the animals are up and visible, loved the baby hippo's. Then catch the safari ride at 10.30...the highlights were the elephant, the brown bears and the giant panda.

The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and clean; attention to detail was evident in the room, with disposable shower gel and shampoo. The room was spacious and offered mountain views. The owners were incredibly hospitable; although there was no elevator, the owner helped carry our luggage up using a lift. There's also a breakfast shop downstairs. It's very close to the E'quan scenic spot.

The park isn't very large, but it has a good variety of animals, including well-cared-for peacocks and parrots. I visited last year, and the areas damaged and under repair due to a previous typhoon are gradually reopening. It's a good place to bring children; an hour or two isn't tiring.

We came from Sanya for a short trip, bringing the kids along. Haikou doesn't have many interesting attractions, so this place was a good alternative. Having a car made the sightseeing much more comfortable. It was too hot to walk, so the young lady at the entrance recommended the car tour, saying it would be more relaxing. Because of the heat and the kids, she gave our child postcards, which they loved. She also recommended the "Youthful Days" performance and offered a free guided tour, which was alright for the kids. The service was great, very thoughtful! 👍

This attraction isn't overly commercialized. During the off-season, it's a great place to hike and take a walk. There are so many large butterflies, and you can even see geckos crawling on the walls. If you get tired or thirsty, you can buy an iced coconut to drink and rest. It's a great way to connect with nature. It's quite nice!

There is no commercial development, full of human life. Walking in the streets, the biggest difference between here and other places in Hainan is that the streets are straighter and you won't get lost. There is not much renovation, just stare blankly

Jiuwentang Cold Spring is located at the southern end of Ding'an County, Hainan Province. It is a free attraction and the parking fee is 10 yuan. The cold spring water is maintained at around 24 degrees all year round. The cold spring water flows out from volcanic rocks. If you soak your feet in the water, many small fish will swim to bite your feet. The cold spring water is rich in various minerals and is very suitable for making tea.

I recommend this place to visit, quite quiet and comfortable. For lovers of water procedures, I advise you to take a scrub, a face mask and your own shampoo and hair mask for women to complete all your rituals. If you plan to visit the place in the evening, you need to take food with you, perhaps something light. Tea is free on site.
