Never having tried anything like this before, I was a bit apprehensive but I really needn't have worried. Ludger explained everything in detail before we got into the kayaks and really put me at my ease. It was great fun and the views of Heidelberg from the river were fabulous. Ludger stopped several times to point out places of interest and included lots of anecdotes relating to the history of the town (in German and English). It was all very enjoyable and I would definitely do it again, although next time I would wear gloves as the oars rubbed the skin between my thumb and forefinger a little, but maybe that's just me!

I took my daughter to snorkel and see the sea turtles as that's what she wanted for her birthday. It was a great experience! Both gentlemen were kind and helpful with gearing up. They stopped the boat and pointed out the turtles prior to jumping off the boat. Even once we were in the water, they pointed out where they were. My daughter was really happy with this experience and it was a much more affordable experience than booking with the cruise line.
