I can’t recommend this wine tasting enough, it changed the whole of our trip. The wine was incredible but not as incredible as the host, Michael, who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wine and the food but also the history and culture of Crete and Greece as a whole. Michael was so welcoming and friendly and recommended us so many bars and restaurants in the area and he was correct about them all. But we kept coming back to Avli, as it soared above the rest. Michael even got us a better table on the terrace each night and matched what we ordered at the restaurant to the wine. We were also very lucky to be invited to trial Avli’s farm tour. During which we toured the organic farm which supplies the restaurant. We got to learn how their ingredients are grown and what they’re used for. Also, we got to pick our own vegetables and they were then made into a gorgeous lunch for the group! An unforgettable experience! Thank you so much! From Freya and Lilli
