We were somewhat disappointed with the tour. We never received an email stating we needed to get the tickets for the bear sanctuary ahead of time. We knew they weren’t included but didn’t have that information. It was frustrating to be told we might not get in as the groups are limited. The other disappointment was the cost. It was over $300 for the 4 of us but the tickets to the 3 tours were not included? It was like an overpriced bus ticket. In hindsight we could have taken an Uber or bus for less than this. All that said, the castle, the citadel and the sanctuary were nice. Would recommend anyone visiting Braşov to check them out.

It was a pleasure to visit Bran Castle, Peles Castle, and the Bear Sanctuary accompanied by the magnificent tour guide Vlad. Besides being an excellent guide, he's also very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to your needs. He picked us up just steps from our accommodation and accompanied us on all three stages without ever leaving us alone, explaining everything we observed in detail along the way. I highly recommend having an experience with him... He's also an excellent ski instructor... ;)

The midweek trip to the Danube Delta was a great experience, one that justifies our 10-day visit to Romania on its own. The water tour started slowly, but as we delved deeper into the Delta, the variety of wildlife, especially birds, increased significantly. Many lived in colonies, some intermingling with others, and some not. We saw turtles and water snakes. We ate on an island with the lunch served by a family for whom the Delta is home. Alin, our host, provided us with a wealth of information. We highly recommend the experience.

Reviews: From Brasov: Mountain Villages & Local Lunch Tour

Our trip with Tiberiu was awesome! We first went to the cave and were lucky to see a few bats in the cave which is apparently rare during the summer! We then had a beautiful walk to a small village and had a delicious lunch with lots of cheese and fresh vegetables. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Carpathian Mountains, Romanian history, and European travel, all of which we learned a lot about! I would recommend this day trip to anyone!
