Reviews: YokaBus Scenic Yame Tea Fields & Yanagawa River Cruise Day Tour from Fukuoka
Guest User2026-10-13
Because of the late departure time, the trip could begin quite leisurely. The boat ride in Yanagawa was a bit of a disappointment due to the language barrier with the boatman. However, the boatman's folk songs and the scenery from the boat were truly delightful. Bamboo hats are available for rent for 100 yen; they're useful for taking photos and providing sun protection. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. The afternoon's trip to Yame included learning about and experiencing matcha and sencha tea, as well as learning about Yame's traditional history and participating in washi paper making. The final tea garden view, combined with the gradually setting sun, was incredibly beautiful. The transportation was comfortable. The number of attractions was reasonable, allowing for a very relaxed experience.

Reviews: YokaBus Heritage in a Cup Yame Tea and Sake Tasting Expedition

The tour guide was very kind and spoke entirely in English. Her explanations were detailed and polite. The tea plantation was beautiful; taking a few photos was enough. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find my preferred flavor of rice wine at the distillery.
