The Achilleion Palace
The Achilleion Palace is located on the island of Corfu in northwestern Greece. It was a summer palace commissioned by Empress Elisabeth of Austria between 1889–1891 and named after her favorite Greek mythological hero, Achilles. The beautiful white palace is nestled among lush greenery. Inside, paintings and sculptures depicting Achilles and scenes from the Trojan War can be found everywhere, and nine statues of the Muses stand on either side of the back garden. Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna is a beautiful monastery renowned for its unique location, pristine white architecture, and rich historical and cultural atmosphere, attracting many visitors. Originally an independent islet structure, the monastery was later connected to the mainland of Corfu by a narrow stone causeway, allowing visitors to walk to it. This place is really worth visiting! It was built by the Venetians who occupied Corfu in the 16th century. It was the ancient city of Corfu before. After it was destroyed, the Venetians built this military fortress. From the castle, you can see the panoramic view of Corfu City opposite and the beautiful blue coast of the Mediterranean Sea! Beautiful!

The Achillion Palace was built in 1890 as the palace of Empress Elizabeth of Austria (Princess Sissi) on Corfu Island. It was used as her summer resort. After Princess Sissi was assassinated in 1898, it was sold to Emperor Whilhelm II of Germany.
