Yaoba Ancient Town is located in the junction of southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou and was built in the early Ming Dynasty. The ancient town is not big, well-preserved, and has no commercial atmosphere. The folk customs are simple and the environment is quiet. Yaoba Ancient Town brings together the strong historical culture and ancient folk customs of Sichuan and Guizhou provinces, and is also a film and television photography base. The pace of life in the ancient town is very slow, there is a peaceful and peaceful atmosphere, and there are not many tourists. It is a good way to walk around the ancient town. The mutton in red soup in the ancient town is a local speciality, which is not to be missed. You can choose a restaurant on the street of the ancient town to taste. There is also a Ciyun Temple in the ancient town, where you can go there to burn incense and worship Buddha, and pray for yourself and your family.Hejiang · 19.7 km from downtown

Fobao Ancient Town is located in the southern border of Sichuan, on the banks of the Dacao River. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was the place where Sichuan salt must pass through the salt road before entering Guizhou. It formed a commercial market town in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty, and it was called Xinchang, and it was called Buddha Treasure in the Qing Dynasty and Kangxi. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the Dacao River Basin. , Xingzhen has a history of more than 600 years. The ancient town is built on the mountain, walks with the water, the three waters meet, and the five bridges are connected. Surrounded by green mountains and shaded by greenery, experts call it "the essence of mountain architecture" and "a space symphony". Because the ancient town is located at the border of southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou, it is at the intersection of Yelang culture and Central Plains culture, thus forming a unique historical culture. The buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, palaces, temples, altars, wooden buildings with hanging feet, sculptures and paintings, as well as the graceful suona music and simple folk singing, all embody the splendor of history and culture. Fobao Ancient Town has a long history and profound cultural connotations. It is a famous historical and cultural ancient town in Sichuan, one of the top ten ancient towns in Sichuan, and a cultural tourism boutique scenic spot in the "Golden Triangle" of Sichuan-Chongqing-Guizhou eco-tourism.Hejiang · 24.9 km from downtown

47 reviews
Bijia Mountain Scenic Area is located in Hejiang County, Luzhou City, 42 kilometers from Luzhou City and 7 kilometers from Hejiang County. It borders Chongqing Municipality and Chishui City, Guizhou Province. The scenic area covers 8,400 mu (approximately 567 hectares), with a forest coverage rate of 68.2%. The average annual temperature is 16.2°C, and the average annual rainfall is 1500 mm. The mountain features typical red Danxia landform characteristics, with unique and beautiful scenery. Bijia Mountain rises abruptly from the plain, with steep slopes, ancient trees reaching for the sky, and the Yangtze River, Chishui River, and Xishui River flowing around it. A boat trip on the Chishui River reveals Bijia Mountain resembling a pen holder, with three peaks and two depressions, standing proudly alone. It has been used for its natural features for over a thousand years. During the Sui Dynasty, when Taoism flourished, it was called Ancient Anle Mountain, and the legend of Zhang Tianshi (Celestial Master Zhang) painting celestial talismans all over the mountain still circulates today. Originally named Shaomin Mountain during the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Bijia Mountain after its three peaks, which resemble a pen rack. During the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Bijia Mountain. Bijia Mountain boasts 28 naturally formed scenic spots, including Fairy Cave, Fairy Mouth, Fairy Stone, Nine-Linked Caves, Sun-Drying Stone, and Sutra-Reciting Rock, earning it the reputation of a miniature scenic area. Fairy Stone is one of the few stone figures visible on the Yangtze River. Nine-Linked Caves feature nine interconnected caves with diverse and uniquely shaped rocks. Fairy Cave is imposing and refreshing, making it very pleasant. Fairy Mouth offers panoramic views of the mountains bordering southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou, a truly magnificent sight. Sun-Drying Stone provides a breathtaking view of the three rivers winding through the landscape, offering a complete vista of the southern Sichuan countryside. Yuntai Temple on Bijia Mountain was built during the Sui Dynasty, and its gate still retains a 600-year-old camphor tree, a rare sight in southern Sichuan. The temple is well-preserved, and its collection includes an inscription by Huang Tingjian, Ming Dynasty murals, and a Qing Dynasty bronze bell weighing over a thousand kilograms.Hejiang · 4 km from downtown

China Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Culture Expo Park

China Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Culture Expo Park

5.0/5
1 reviews
Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Culture Expo Park is located in Hejiang County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. It is a comprehensive cultural park built by Yongxingchengdao that integrates the inheritance of soy sauce brewing skills, soy sauce culture display, study and tourism experience, and the protection and promotion of intangible cultural heritage crafts. As an expo park with soy sauce culture as its core theme in southern Sichuan, the project aims to "maintain craftsmanship, pass on skills, promote culture, and promote exchanges", and is committed to becoming an important landmark for the dissemination of traditional Chinese soy sauce culture. Design concept that emphasizes both inheritance and innovation The overall planning of Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Cultural Expo Park covers an area of nearly 300 acres. The architectural style combines the rustic elements of Han Dynasty architecture with modern minimalist design, which not only retains the traditional flavor, but also gives the space a more open and inclusive feeling. It is developed around multiple sections such as traditional craft display area, historical and cultural museum, interactive experience center, research and education base and cultural and creative commercial space, forming a complete cultural experience chain. In terms of design concept, the Expo Park adheres to the principle of both inheritance and innovation. On the one hand, the original ecological scenes of traditional soy sauce production, such as drying fields, old workshops, and koji making rooms, are preserved; on the other hand, modern technological means such as multimedia interaction, intelligent Guide systems, and immersive experience spaces are introduced to allow traditional culture to enter the public's field of vision in a more friendly and vivid way. Authentic reproduction of traditional craftsmanship When you enter the Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Cultural Expo Park, you will first feel the rich flavor of soy sauce, as if you have traveled back to the time of ancient brewing a hundred years ago. The traditional craft display area is one of the core highlights of the park, which fully restores the entire process from bean selection, bean soaking, steaming, koji making, koji turning, fermentation, soy sauce drying, oil extraction, and aging. Visitors can not only observe every detail of soy sauce brewing up close, but also have a deep understanding of the key points of the different links and their impact on flavor through the Guide and operation demonstrations of on-site staff. Particularly worth mentioning is the 100,000 sauce jars drying field, where 100,000 sauce jars are lined up, slowly fermenting in the sun and breeze, forming a unique and spectacular landscape. Each sauce jar has experienced the baptism of time given by nature, brewing a pure and authentic sauce flavor. In-depth display of soy sauce culture The Cultural Exhibition Hall is an important part of the Expo Park. The hall systematically sorts out the origin and evolution of soy sauce, from the ancient "xi" culture to the sauce making in the Han Dynasty, to the continuous improvement of the craft system in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, to the large-scale production in modern factories. Each historical stage has detailed pictures and real-life exhibits, and is combined with immersive light and shadow experience, allowing visitors to experience the development of soy sauce culture in an immersive way. In addition, the exhibition hall also set up a special "Yongxingcheng Brand Story" exhibition area, which records the process of several generations of Yongxingcheng sticking to their original aspirations, protecting craftsmanship, and constantly innovating since its establishment. From the initial rural workshop to the current corporate transformation with modern production lines and unique cultural parks, there are a series of epic struggles behind it, which is also a vivid interpretation of the spirit of China's traditional food industry. Interactive experience and research education In order to allow visitors to not only "see" but also "personally participate", the Expo Park has set up a rich interactive experience area. Here, under the guidance of professional teachers, visitors can personally experience the processes of bean selection, koji making, mixing, and turning over the vat, and personally experience the wonderful journey of a drop of soy sauce from beans to finished products. The park also regularly holds "Little Brewer" parent-child experience activities, traditional soy sauce drying experience camps, soy sauce DIY workshops and other projects, which are deeply loved by family tourists and student teams. Relying on rich cultural resources, Yongxingcheng has also created a complete research and study education system, and cooperated with local education departments to offer soy sauce culture research and study courses. The content covers multiple modules such as basic knowledge of brewing science, intangible cultural heritage cognition, manual skills practice, teamwork training, etc., aiming to let young people understand traditional culture through exploration and improve their comprehensive literacy in an entertaining way. Create a new cultural landmark and promote rural revitalization Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Cultural Expo Park is not only a tourist attraction, but also bears the important responsibility of promoting traditional culture, boosting local economy and promoting rural revitalization. By creating a cultural tourism complex integrating production, display, experience, research and consumption, the project has successfully driven Souvenir employment and increased the added value of agricultural products, becoming a new model for rural industrial revitalization in Hejiang County and even Luzhou City. In the future, Yongxingcheng Soy Sauce Culture Expo Park will continue to deepen traditional fermentation culture, expand cross-border cooperation, and hold various themed festivals and activities, such as the Soy Sauce Culture Festival, Intangible Cultural Heritage Skills Competition, Rural Food Carnival, etc., and strive to build itself into an influential cultural brand and research and study base in the southwest region and even the whole country.Hejiang · 12.2 km from downtown

Mount Emei is one of the four famous mountains of Chinese Buddhism, and it is also the temple of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. There are numerous Buddhist monasteries in the mountains that combine to give this place a holy and serene atmosphere. The scenery in the mountains are beautiful. The four seasons each have their own characteristics. If you are lucky, you can see the sunrise and sea of clouds. Do note that the monkeys in Mount Emei are notoriously naughty. They are not afraid of people, and even take the initiative to ask tourists for food.China · Emeishan City

It's very beautiful and relatively uncommercialized. It's where local residents live. The mutton in red soup is so delicious. There is a shuttle bus from Luzhou City, which costs 16 yuan per person, which is not bad. It's not very convenient to call a taxi locally.

Fubao Ancient Town is located in Hejiang County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. It is the gateway to the national Fubao Forest Park. The ancient town was built in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty and has a long history. The ancient buildings in the ancient town are built against the mountain and are basically well preserved. There are many things to see!

Although the hotel is a bit old, its location is excellent. Turn right downstairs and you'll find Wuhou Temple and Jinli Ancient Street. Breakfast is a simple buffet. Transportation nearby, including the subway, is very convenient. It's also not far from Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Kuanzhai Alley, and People's Park.

bus from Chengdu city centre. However, buying a ticket as a foreign visitor can be challenging as the booking system requires a Chinese phone number. You need to book the ticket in advance and only is possible in the museum website. Fortunately, my hotel booked the ticket for me, and I simply transferred them the money. The museum is extremely busy, even week days so allow plenty of time for your visit. Definitely worth seeing!

I set off from Baoguo Temple Service Center at 7:00 AM, took a 2-hour bus ride to Leidongping, and then hiked to the Golden Summit. I didn't take the cable car; it took about an hour to reach the summit. It was foggy that day, so I couldn't see the Buddha statues clearly. I started my descent around 1:00 PM. I saw a few monkeys in the distance. After getting off the cable car, I took another bus to Wannian Temple. The bus pass allows for two hops on and off. When I arrived at Wannian Temple, I saw the Wuliang Hall, which is even older than the Golden Summit. I took the last bus down the mountain at 6:00 PM.
