Reynisfjara Beach
雷尼斯黑沙滩’s sand is essentially granular basalt, originating from the cooling and fragmentation of ancient volcanic lava. The sand is jet-black and fine. Scoop up a handful and your hand will be covered in black, but with a gentle shake, it scatters and falls away, leaving almost no trace. On one side of the beach, regular hexagonal basalt columns rise like the pipes of a giant pipe organ, a geological wonder formed by the natural cracking of large-scale lava flows as they slowly cooled and contracted. The cliffs above the beach are breeding grounds for seabirds such as puffins and fulmars. Please note that the waves here are rough and turbulent, and unpredictable sneaker waves often occur. Thingvellir National Park
Thingvellir National Park National Park is located approximately 45 km east of Reykjavik and is a key landmark of both historical and geological significance in Iceland. In 930 AD, Iceland's first national parliament was established here. It is one of the longest-running parliamentary institutions known in the world, and today it remains a venue for important national celebrations for Icelanders. The park is situated at the junction of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The great rift clearly displays the boundary between the two continental plates, allowing visitors to intuitively experience the landscape formed by crustal rifting. Crashed DC 3 Plane
Crashed DC 3 Planeis a plane crash site on Sólheimasandur black sand beach on the south coast of Iceland. On November 21, 1973, a US Navy DC-3 military transport plane encountered severe icing while flying from Höfn to Keflavik. Both engines failed, forcing the crew to land the plane on the black sand plains. All 7 crew members survived and were rescued, but the plane was abandoned on-site and has never left the beach. Today, all salvageable parts have long been removed, leaving only the weathered, silver-gray fuselage resting on the vast, exposed black sand. It creates a striking visual contrast against the desolate horizon and is highly photogenic in both cloudy and sunny weather, making it a long-time favorite location for photographers. Solheimajokull
Solheimajokullis located in southern Iceland and is an outlet glacier extending south from the Myrdalsjokull Glacier, the fourth-largest ice cap in Iceland. It is quite different from the pure white glaciers people often imagine: the ice cap covers the active Katla volcano, and volcanic ash from numerous historical eruptions has fallen onto the ice and snow, only to be compacted by subsequent snowfall, giving the ice surface a banded texture of black-gray and blue-white, resembling an open book of geological rings. This glacier has retreated significantly in recent decades, and the depression left by the retreating glacier tongue has formed a meltwater lake. Ice fragments containing layers of volcanic ash float on the lake surface, while blue ice walls, moraines, and crevasses are clearly visible from the shore, serving as a window to intuitively experience the dynamics of glacial melting. This is also a classic site in Iceland for glacier hiking and ice climbing. Follow a guide, put on crampons, and step onto the ice to walk among crevasses and ridges, observing the deep blue ancient ice up close; if you prefer to view it from a distance, a walk along the lakeshore offers a full view of the glacier and the surrounding volcanic landscape.Iceland · Myrdalshreppur
Myrdalsjokull Glacier
Myrdalsjokull Glacier is the southernmost glacier in Iceland and the fourth largest in the country, with an ice cap covering an area of approximately 595 km² and a peak reaching approximately 1,510 m. Hidden beneath the ice cap is the highly active Katla volcano, with a crater diameter of approximately 10 km, covered by hundreds of meters of ice. Once it erupts, high-temperature magma rapidly melts the ice layer, which can trigger highly destructive glacial floods, making it one of the most closely monitored geological activities in Iceland. The beach before me resembled a vast expanse of black jade, its surface spread out across the ground. The waves relentlessly crashed against the shore, creating a dazzling display of black foam. This magnificent spectacle was a masterpiece of nature's uncanny craftsmanship. The black sand shimmered in the sunlight, creating a stark contrast with the azure waters, a breathtaking beauty.

The Blue Lagoon is very beautiful. Go there in winter and enjoy the feeling of ice and fire. The Blue Lagoon is very large. You can also go to the middle of the lake to apply white volcanic mud, which is said to be good for beauty and health. Anyway, go and have fun. It's very interesting. Don't forget to bring your phone to take pictures!
