Huangling Ancient Village is a typical mountain village, Souvenir by thousands of ancient trees and tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields, creating a idyllic mountain life like a paradise. It has a beautiful natural environment and rich history and culture. It is a famous historical and cultural village in ancient Huizhou. The ancient village of Huangling hangs on the cliff, and the ground is not flat for three feet. For hundreds of years, the villagers have been accustomed to "communicating" with the rugged terrain with a peaceful mentality, painting a picture of "people drying their crops in the sun in autumn". In March, rapeflowers are in full bloom on tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields in Huangling, dotted with pink peach blossoms and snow-white pear blossoms, forming a beautiful ink painting. Here, you can become one with nature and have close contact with the sea of flowers. At the end of March, the second phase of Huangrapeling Gaoling Terraced Fields Flower Sea came online. Due to the large altitude difference, low temperature, and late-maturing rapeseed varieties, the flowering period is relatively late, and the second phase of the flower sea can last until mid-April. Come to Huangling in summer and start a wonderful summer night trip. Take a look at the night view of the ancient village, feel the sunset glow of Huangling, the lights of thousands of houses, walk on the country road with the dancing and circling 100-meter-long dragon, stroll in the quaint streets with a lantern, feel the romance of the magic forest, watch a retro old movie at the entrance of the village, and visit the cool market in the countryside. As soon as the beginning of autumn arrives, the ancient village of Huangling becomes a drying field. Come to the people who dry autumn leaves to admire the red maple leaves, enjoy the autumn leaves drying on the roof, the maple forest is dyed red, experience the folk customs, hand-cranked windmills, pumpkin traps, etc., and feel the nostalgic charm of the people who dry autumn leaves. In winter, every household in Huangling is busy drying and processing traditional local specialties for New Year's goods. The roofs are full of preserved meat customs, "drying" folk customs and "celebrating" the harvest, which means a bumper harvest in the New Year. With the arrival of the Winter Solstice, the Huangling Folk Culture Festival begins and lasts until the Lantern Festival next year. Here, you can listen to operas, visit the market, taste food, and taste the folk customs of the New Year; bask in the warm sun, cook tea around the stove, enjoy the elegant winter things, invite family and friends to take a health-preserving warm soup, and enjoy a winter-limited snow scene. In Huangling, you can enjoy the beautiful rural scenery and experience the modern urban life. You can see the exquisite and simple Huizhou century-old houses as well as the fashion and elegance of star-rated hotels. In Huangling, tourists can not only taste authentic folk snacks such as steamed cakes, Qingming fruit, gray juice fruit, etc., but also participate in the whole process of making folk snacks and handicrafts.Wuyuan · 35 km from Kaihua

Gaotiankeng Village in Taihui Mountain, Changhong Township, Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province, is known as a gallery. It is called the "Little Potala Palace" because the houses there are stacked one after another, and the rapeseed fields are also stacked one after another. Every year from March to April, the terraces are full of golden rapeseed flowers, and tourists call it the "Little Potala Palace in Jiangnan". Standing at the bridgehead of the stream and looking up, the rapeseed flowers are stacked on the terraces, staggered. The houses in the village on the top of the mountain are also scattered, giving it a feeling of the Potala Palace.Kaihua · 26.1 km from downtown

Sanqu Stone Forest is in Huibu Town, Changshan County. The scenic area is characterized by karst limestone landforms. The karst landscape of Sanqu Stone Forest is in its infancy, mainly composed of peak clusters with the clint and karst caves as the microtopography. At the same time, it is a huge ancient reef dating from the late Ordovician period, which is an important area in the South of China for studying the history of the Paleozoic Period. The karst landforms have produced a unique maze of the stone forest. Owing to geological evolution, the stone forests in the shapes of castles and patios appeared. Small karst depressions in ancient mountains and other landscapes were also formed.Changshan · 16.9 km from Kaihua

On the mother river of Zhejiang,Qiantang RiverAt the source location lies Kaihua County, home to a thousand-year-old ancient village where you can view the Milky Way with the naked eye. This hidden gem is nestled at the junction of Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces, perched on high-altitude terraced fields 612 meters above sea level. In spring, pear blossoms glisten with rain; in summer, the starry sky stretches endlessly; in fall, golden harvests paint the terraces; and in winter, boundless snow blankets the landscape. After four years of revitalization, this ancient village has transformed into a vacation complex featuring starry skies as its super IP, cultural heritage carried by the millennia-old village, and warm local hospitality painting life's scenes. It's called "Fanjie Xingxiu Gaotian Scenic Area"—where stars dwell above the high fields. This remote area boasts thin clouds, surrounding mountains, and nearly zero light pollution, making it a natural dark zone for astronomy and China's Dark Sky Reserve. As a premier stargazing destination in East China, its Dark Sky Park rivals New Zealand's Lake Tekapo, Japan's Achi Village, and Xizang's Ngari. In summer, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, while August's Perseid meteor shower creates spectacular displays. Orion shines clearly in winter, with excellent year-round stargazing conditions attracting countless astronomy enthusiasts from afar. This area is also home to the Qianjiangyuan National Park, a window into the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests along the 30th parallel north. It boasts rich ecological diversity, pristine air, super-saturated negative oxygen ions, and endless greenery. The mountains, forests, water systems, and villages together create the unique landscape of the Qianjiang River's source. Fanjie Xingxiu Gaotian Scenic Area consists of five main zones: the ancient village center experience area, ancient village sightseeing area, dining area, mountaintop dark sky planetarium, and homestay cluster area.Kaihua · 26 km from downtown

Kaihua Root Palace Buddhist Kingdom is a unique 5A scenic area that perfectly blends thousand-year-old tree roots with Zen culture, leaving visitors deeply impressed. The park's Tang-style ancient buildings are built against the mountainside, surrounded by lush vegetation and the fragrance of wood, creating a truly immersive atmosphere. The core exhibit is a colossal root carving that is truly breathtaking. The over 40-ton Shakyamuni Buddha statue is solemn and imposing, while the 600-meter-long corridor of 500 Arhats displays a variety of expressions, each carved following the natural texture of the tree root, showcasing the craftsman's ingenuity. Besides Buddhist statues, there are also root carvings for children and root art depicting historical stories, catering to both aesthetic appreciation and enjoyment, suitable for all ages. Climbing to the top of the Root Palace Pagoda offers panoramic views of Kaihua city. The scenic area has a long route, requiring at least half a day to explore thoroughly. It is moderately commercialized, avoiding noise and commotion. Immersed in this place, one can experience the artistic charm of intangible cultural heritage root carving and find inner peace, making it a treasure trove of cultural attractions in western Zhejiang worth a special trip.

Qianjiangyuan National Park was built along the Qinjiang River in Kaihua. It is the best choice for viewing the night view of Kaihua. It runs through several major landmarks and commercial squares in Kaihua New City. It is very lively. You must go and see it when you travel to Kaihua 😄😄😄!

Huangling has a long-standing reputation, and I came here with high expectations. Even though I traveled during off-peak hours, it was still quite crowded. Fortunately, the parking lot was large and free, and the management was good! The scenic area is not large, and it's quite comfortable to walk around. There are quite a few steps, and the restrooms were very clean!

It is a good place for young parents to bring their children to play. The environment is good. Children can feed peacocks, fragrant pigs, alpacas and other small animals. They can also take a small train, drive a go-kart, and there are more exciting slide projects.

Yining Accommodation | Truly a Perfect Stay! Excellent Value for Money ✨ This hotel was my favorite during my trip to Yining! I'm not a shill! This is a genuine recommendation from the bottom of my heart! 📍Super Convenient Location Very close to the airport, super convenient after landing. Just a short walk to Liuxing Street, perfect for eating, drinking, and strolling. Nowhere is far, easy to get around by car or taxi! 🏠Absolutely Amazing Room Experience The room was spotless, no odor at all. The bed was incredibly soft!! After a long day of travel, I fell asleep instantly. The soundproofing was also excellent, very quiet at night. The service was also incredibly heartwarming. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly. She was always there for me, efficient and prompt. The overall experience was very comfortable, not at all cold or impersonal! 🚗A Must-Have for Drivers! Free parking is available!! The security guard was so helpful with parking! Parking is the biggest worry when driving in Xinjiang, but you don't have to worry about that here at all. Overall, it's clean, quiet, comfortable, well-located, and great value! If you don't want a bad experience while traveling in Yining, go for this place! Truly worth staying at!! #YiningAccommodation #YiningHotelRecommendation #HengyuXiangyueHotel #YiliTourism #XinjiangTourism #YiningLiuxingStreet #AffordableComfortableHotel

There are basically no entertainment options; it's purely hiking. If you're really interested in hiking, you can give it a try. The first half is quite steep, and the second half is gentler. My friend and I hiked for about an hour, from the entrance to the place I marked on my map. It seems there aren't any restaurants or anything like that inside the scenic area. We got hungry, and didn't have the energy to explore the other routes. The natural environment is beautiful, and the air is quite fresh. There are signs warning against snakes and insects inside the scenic area, but surprisingly, my friend and I didn't get bitten by mosquitoes or encounter any snakes during our morning hike, although we did see some lizards. The paths can be a bit narrow. The entire mountain is filled with all sorts of strangely shaped, naturally formed rocks. There are also signs along the way explaining the formation process of karst landforms, which seems more suitable for geography students, and chemistry students might also find it helpful, as the signs have a bunch of chemical equations.

The scenery was beautiful; I visited a few years ago and had a great impression, so I brought my husband here again from out of town today. But it was a huge disappointment! We waited over two hours to get a number and queue for the cable car up the mountain; then another two and a half hours for the cable car down. We rushed through the small loop on the mountain. If you're planning to come here, be sure to arrive early and descend early to avoid taking the cable car in the dark or driving out of the scenic area after dark – it's a safety concern! 😟

It is an ancient village worth visiting. It is shaded by green trees and there are ducks in the creek in the village. The Qingshui Fish Restaurant is delicious. The Astronomy Science Museum on the top of the mountain is also worth a visit. The guide said that this is also a stargazing resort in East China! It is said that there are also homestays. I didn't have enough time this time, so I will come to experience it next time.
