Preah Monivong Bokor National Park
Bokor Mountain National Natural Park is located in Kampot Province, Cambodia, 20 kilometers away from Kampot City, the capital of Kampot Province. It is one of the most charming nature reserves in Cambodia. It is possible to spend a day in the park, but admission is limited from 6am to noon. Durian Roundabout in Kampot is one of the most unique landmarks in Cambodia. Located in the heart of the city, this giant durian statue has become a popular photo spot for visitors. The roundabout is surrounded by local shops, restaurants, cafes, and small streets where you can experience the relaxed atmosphere of Kampot. I especially enjoyed visiting in the evening when the area became more lively and colorful. It is an easy place to stop while exploring the city and a great spot to take a few memorable photos. A short visit here is definitely worth adding to your Kampot itinerary.

Take your girlfriend to visit Khao Boko, a place with cool weather. There are ancient sites from the time when the French came to build a settlement on top. There are temples, ancient churches, and most importantly, there is a casino. Overall, it is considered refreshing.

Visited Bokor National Park on a half day tour with very little idea of what to expect. What we saw was stunning scenery with the remnants of a ghost town dotted throughout. There was such history from those handful of abandoned buildings, going from when it was a resort for the wealthy, to when it was a base for the Khmer Rouge, to when it was then stripped of everything but the bare bricks post 1980. What is left is equal parts eerie and beautiful! Well worth a visit!
