This is the place where you can observe bears up close, attached to the No. 1 Ranch. It is designed as if humans are in a cage, and the bears are surrounding them, so you can experience what it's like to be the prey. You can also closely observe the bears' characteristics, such as their eyes, ears, noses, and fur, up close. The female brown bears are very active, standing on two legs, lying down, and begging for treats in silly poses. Some of them are quite skillful, standing up and spinning around to show off, and some even balance in a V shape. Here you can observe the movements, dexterity, and intelligence of the bears. From spring to autumn, the No. 2 Ranch is home to either "curious and playful young bears between the ages of 3 and 5," "unique bears between the ages of 9 and 11," or "veteran bears between the ages of 18 and 30 who are skilled at appealing their desires." During the winter, "curious and playful young bears" appear.Noboribetsu · 38.6 km from Kimobetsu

Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley is a volcanic explosion crater formed by volcanic activity and serves as a major source of Noboribetsu Onsen. The valley measures approximately 450 meters in diameter, with exposed gray-white and reddish-brown rocks, numerous hot spring vents, and fumaroles. Hot water continuously rises from the ground, releasing clouds of white steam and filling the air with a distinct sulfurous smell, creating a striking volcanic landscape. The valley produces a large volume of hot spring water daily, supplying nearby hot spring facilities. Walking along the wooden boardwalks offers close views of the rock walls, steam vents, and bubbling hot springs, revealing the geothermal activity beneath the surface. Tessen-ike, located in the valley, is a geyser where the water periodically boils and releases rising steam, highlighting the area's active geothermal features. An observation deck near the entrance provides panoramic views of the valley, where exposed rock formations contrast with drifting steam. In autumn, colorful foliage across the surrounding hills contrasts with the rugged terrain. In winter, snow covers the landscape, while rising steam stands out against the cold air, creating a distinctive seasonal scene.Noboribetsu · 37.5 km from Kimobetsu

Otaru Tenguyama stands at an elevation of 532.5 meters and is a premier viewpoint offering panoramic views of Otaru city. From the summit, you can see the entire cityscape of Otaru, and at night, the city lights along the coastline sparkle like jewels. This night view is considered one of Japan's top three nightscapes, alongside the views from Mount Hakodate and Mount Moiwa in Sapporo.Three Major Night Views of Hokkaidois counted as one of them. In winter, Mount Tengu is blanketed in snow, creating a romantic atmosphere. Known as a filming location for the snowy scenes in the movie "Love Letter," it attracts many fans. Breathtaking views from the mountaintop By taking the ropeway with a capacity of about 30 people, you can reach the mountaintop from the base in approximately 5 minutes. At the mountaintop, there is an observation deck offering panoramic views of Otaru's cityscape, Otaru Bay, and Ishikari Bay. On clear days, you can even see the distant mountains and Shakotan Peninsula. Additionally, the following facilities are available at the summit: · Tengukan · Otaru Ski Museum (both offer free admission) There are three observation decks around the ropeway station, each offering a different perspective of Otaru's scenery. The first observation deck is particularly popular as it allows visitors to capture both the cityscape and the ropeway in one shot. Tengu Statue and Power Spot Behind the ropeway station, there is a statue of a tengu with a long nose. It is said that touching this nose will make your wishes come true, making it a popular spot. Nearby, you'll also find the Tenguyama Shrine. The Charm of Nature and the Four Seasons Within the mountains, there is a cherry blossom tree called "Tengu Sakura," where you can enjoy taking photos with the city of Otaru and the sea as your backdrop. Additionally, tulips, German irises, chamomile, and many other flowers adorn the scenery throughout the four seasons. Additionally, at the free "Chipmunk Park," you can purchase food and experience feeding adorable chipmunks. For those who want to enjoy nature, we also recommend the walking path known as the "Mountain Top Forest Bath." This approximately 20-minute stroll may even allow you to encounter wild birds along the way. Activities At the mountaintop, there's an activity called "Tenguyama Slider" where you can slide and play on the grass (Fee: 310 yen). It's fun for both children and adults. Winter delights In winter, Mount Tengu is covered in a blanket of snow, creating a magical landscape. The foothills are open as a ski resort, offering a variety of activities that even beginners can enjoy, including snowshoeing experiences in addition to skiing. Summary Otaru Tenguyama is a captivating spot where you can enjoy breathtaking views, nightscapes, nature, and activities, making it a worthwhile tourist destination to visit year-round. Niseko Ski Resort actually consists of 4 ski resorts, which can be connected by cable cars at the top of the mountain. You can choose to buy a ski ticket for one or more ski resorts. It is really cool to ski all over the mountain! There are also simple groves and terrains to experience. Overall, it is recommended to come here when you are a little more advanced, and there will be a lot more fun. There is not much for pure beginners to play.

The Bear Park is one of my favourite places visited in Japan. In order to get there, you have to take a gondola. It will set you back 3,200 yen for adults. The park has multiple bear enclosures. While the bears are really cute, we have to be careful not to go overly close. Apart from seeing the bears, we also got to feed them with delicious treats. The feeding experience was such a unique one! There is also an informative museum where you can learn more about bears. For those who enjoy collecting stamps, you can also get a stamp from the museum.

Located in Noboribetsu, the beautiful and spectacular Noboribetsu Hell Valley is a scenic area. Formed by volcanoes, this valley is blessed with hot springs reaching temperatures of 80 degrees Celsius. The scent of sulfur can be smelled from time to time, and even the hot springs have a yellowish color. The magnificent Oyunuma Pond is truly breathtaking, making it a must-see. Noboribetsu Hell Valley truly lives up to its reputation!

We met a coach from Taiwan who's considered a "lucky charm" for his child. Watching the videos, I can see he's made significant progress. However, my child's stamina is only enough for half a day; he struggles to keep up for a full day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the 1-on-1 coaching service.

Winter weather at the seaside is unpredictable; it might still be snowing down below while the mountains are bathed in sunshine. Therefore, it's best to choose a good day for your trip, especially if you plan to see the night view, as visibility needs to be excellent. The biggest characteristic of Japanese tourist attractions is their excellent management; they are generally well-organized. Furthermore, the facilities are great. There are plenty of rest areas while enjoying the scenery, and the prices for food and drinks are similar to those outside. With reasonable ticket prices, it's definitely worth a visit to Otaru.
