Niubei Mountain
Niubei Mountain is located at the border of Yingjing County and Luding County in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. It belongs to the Erlang Mountain range and serves as the watershed between the Qingyi River and the Dadu River. With an elevation of 3,666 meters at its summit, it offers a 360-degree viewing platform. Legend has it that Laozi, the ancient Chinese philosopher, thinker, writer, and historian who founded Taoism, rode his green ox westward through Hangu Pass and traveled here. Upon seeing the surrounding mountains, snow-capped peaks, and the central prominence, he deemed it an ideal place for enlightenment and spiritual cultivation, thus settling here permanently. One day, the green ox emitted a mysterious glow as Laozi ascended to immortality. His mount then chose this blessed land to lie down and transform into Niubei Mountain. Empowered by the continuous divine energy of the surrounding sacred mountains, the sky manifested an auspicious purple aura from the east. Soon after, the mountaintop revealed the breathtaking "Six Wonders" celestial phenomena, bringing hope and happiness to this land and its inhabitants—hence the name Niubei Mountain. Erlang Mountain National Forest Park
Erlang Mountain Diaohe Scenic Area is located at the southeast foot of Jiajin Mountain, at the southern edge of the rolling Longmen Mountain and Qionglai Mountains. Hailuogou Scenic Area is mainly for viewing snow-capped mountains. Whether you can take good photos depends largely on the weather. Due to continuous rain, I waited for 4 days before entering the scenic area. The service was very good, after all, it is a 5A scenic area. The ticket prices for the shuttle bus and cable car are relatively high.

泸定桥是红军长征的一个重要节点，红军在这里突破敌人的封锁，打通了北上的道路。今天走在泸定桥上，能感受到桥身摇摇晃晃。泸定桥在泸定县城的核心位置，周边很繁华，购物住宿也很方便。

Weather is crucial; rain and heavy fog made it impossible to see Gongga Mountain from Camp 4, only the large icefall was barely visible. The drive is quite long, and the roads inside are somewhat abandoned. The Crescent Lake below the cable car in the scenic area was really uninteresting. The 20 RMB electric cart ride to Camp 3 offered nothing; after the earthquake, there was no scenery, only devastation! Red Lake was even worse… just a small pond. Only the aerial walkway from Camp 4 to Camp 3 through the primeval forest was somewhat acceptable.

This is a relatively old and historic Tibetan-style town. The famous Moxi Conference was held here, and the battle plan for seizing the Luding Bridge was also studied here. Chairman Mao also stayed here. The Hailuogou Visitor Center is located in the town. There are many guesthouses and hotels, and it's quite lively at night. The town also has public transportation, including direct buses to Chengdu.

It really depends on luck. The day before it was gloomy and rainy, but the sky cleared up the next night, and in the morning we saw the golden sunrise on the snow-capped mountains—it was breathtaking. This is indeed the best snow mountain viewing platform in western Sichuan; you can see all the snow-capped mountains except for Meili Snow Mountain.

The scenery was beautiful and there weren't many people, which was nice, but the monkeys were terrifying. The security guards couldn't get there in time, and a monkey climbed on me. The monkey wasn't afraid of people at all; even when my dad yelled at it, it kept baring its teeth at the three of us. Also, there were no instant noodles for sale inside, and the noodles they sold cost 10 yuan a bowl, which felt really expensive.

The Luding Bridge Memorial Hall is just behind the Monument of the Capture of Luding Bridge. As you enter the hall, you will see a group of sculptures of the Capture of Luding Bridge. On the stone wall next to the sculptures it is written, "Thirteen iron chains carry a republic!"
