Picasso Museum MalagaIt was renovated from a 16th-century palace, retaining its Renaissance style. The museum houses a total of 233 works by Picasso, including oil paintings, sketches, sculptures, and more. The collection was donated by Picasso's daughter-in-law Christine, his grandson Bernard, and other family members. It encompasses over two hundred pieces, including oil paintings, sketches, sculptures, prints, and ceramics, spanning from his academic studies in his youth and cubist collages to his late works in the 1970s, effectively laying out a corridor of the evolution of Picasso's style. "Paul in a white hat" is based on a photograph of his eldest son Paul in the park, capturing the child's innocence with remarkable vividness; "Mother and child" and the series of portraits featuring Jacqueline and others are also worth a close look.Malaga · 258m from downtown

Costa del Sol is a stretch of resort coastline along the Mediterranean in Malaga Province, extending from Nerja in the east to the Manilva area in the west, spanning over 100 km. The coast gets its name from its climate, which is sunny most days of the year. Vacations here can be very slow-paced: take a walk along the seaside promenade or go for a swim during the day, and at noon, head into a beachside eatery to order a skewer of charcoal-grilled sardines—locals thread the sardines onto thin skewers and grill them over a wood fire. Many eateries even use old fishing boats filled with sand as grills right on the beach. Paired with an iced drink, this is a quintessential dining experience on this coast. In the evening, you can explore the old town of Marbella and wander through the white-walled alleys around the Plaza de los Naranjos. Golf is another highlight here, with a high density of courses along the coast.Mijas · 26.7 km from Malaga

The coastal city of Málaga is the second largest city in Andalusia and the hometown of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. Favored by European and American holidaymakers for its serene blue skies and warm Mediterranean climate, Málaga is considered the gateway to the Costa del Sol. Once a vital gateway to the Mediterranean, Málaga boasts thousands of years of history. Founded by the Phoenicians and later ruled by the Romans and then the Islamic world, it truly is an ancient city. Though few historical sites remain in Málaga today, with many of its bustling districts replaced by modern skyscrapers, large ancient buildings like the Alcazaba still offer glimpses of the cultural legacy of the Islamic era. For example, the Renaissance-style Málaga Cathedral, built between 1528 and 1782, boasts a north tower reaching 84 meters, making it the second tallest cathedral in Andalusia.Malaga · 212m from downtown

Located in Malaga, The Alcazaba is an important military fortress from the Islamic period and serves as evidence of the long-standing Islamic presence here. Built in the mid-11th century, it extensively utilized columns and stone materials from the adjacent Roman theater during its construction, and was extensively rebuilt by the Nasrid dynasty in the 14th century. Today, it is one of the best-preserved Alcazabas in Spain. The entire fortress consists of nested inner and outer walls. To reach the palace area, one must pass through multiple gates and a deliberately winding uphill path; this "zigzag" entrance is the essence of its original defensive design. In theheart of this fortress, the southern wing of the 11th-century old palace retains horseshoe arches and carved arcades, while the Nasrid palace area is centered around the Courtyard of the Orange Trees and the Courtyard of the Reflecting Pool, where glazed floor tiles complement the fountains, capturing the full charm of Islamic-style courtyards.Malaga · 481m from downtown

Central Market Atarazanas is located at 10 Atarazanas Street in the city center. The market covers an area of approx. 5,000 square meters, blending Neo-Mudéjar style, with entrance arches decorated with mosaic tiles and stained glass windows depicting fishing life and Mediterranean charm. The market is a rectangular hall with a steel frame supporting a glass dome that provides ample natural light, and the exterior walls feature blue tiles inlaid with harvest reliefs. The first floor is a well-ventilated, open area for seafood, the second floor has neatly arranged produce and meat stalls, and a central staircase connects all floors. Tile murals cover the walls. The roof provides shelter on rainy days, while natural light creates dappled shadows on sunny days, creating a bright atmosphere. The market hall is filled with colorful stalls, piles of fresh fish and shrimp on ice, and golden, tempting fruits and vegetables, with crowds weaving through, showcasing the vibrant local life of Andalusia. Central Market Atarazanas connects historical architecture with a feast for the taste buds. Malaga Beach has a long coastline of 14 kilometers. This sea area has plenty of sunshine and soft sand, so it is popular with tourists from all over the world. Mahaiga Beach is warm all year round and can go to the sea 10 months of the year. In February, it is still the warmer place in southeastern Spain, so it is also a famous cold shelter in Europe. The beach here is open on weekends from 10am to 8pm. At night, someone will clean the beach, so there is no doubt about the cleanliness of the beach, and you can enjoy it with confidence. Just a reminder that there are no changing rooms on the beach, just showers without any cover.Malaga · 1.7 km from downtown

The Gibralfaro Castle was built in the fourteenth century to accommodate the army to protect the castle of Malaga. Today it is one of the most popular places of interest in Malaga. Standing on its ramparts, you can see a beautiful and sultry panorama of Malaga, and you can also enter its cultural center to learn about its history. It takes its name from the lighthouse on the top floor (Jabal-Faruk, Hill of Lighthouses). Although it was the Phoenicians and Romans who started to establish settlements here, in 1340 the Nasr king YusufI (Yusuf I) turned the place into a castle.Malaga · 914m from downtown

There are nearly 10,000 seats here, which shows that it was grand and luxurious. Although it is now a broken wall, but standing here, you can still feel the magnificent momentum. If you come here at sunset, there are not many people, sitting on these ancient steps, bathing in the exotic spring breeze, especially comfortable!Malaga · 396m from downtown

If you are into arts this museum is for you. Many are original Picasso paintings. Not a big museum but it will take time to go around especially when reading about every piece. Although there was a set time to enter and we were late by 10 minutes there is actually a queue so you are really not missing anything! The museum is very close to a cathedral and it is literally the centre of the city. Not to be missed

The Costa del Sol, located on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia in southern Spain, is renowned for its abundant sunshine, long beaches, and vibrant resort atmosphere, making it one of Europe's most popular seaside resorts. With a coastline of approximately 150 kilometers, it enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate with over 300 sunny days a year. Its most unique feature is not only its beautiful and spectacular beaches but also its rolling hills. Visitors can lazily sunbathe, read, or surf on the beach, or simply walk across the main street and hike through the mountains filled with pine trees, broom, and rosemary. Furthermore, it boasts numerous historical sites and scenic spots!

The cathedral is located in the center of Malaga. It is one of the tallest buildings in Malaga. It has a long history and is very beautiful. The square outside the church is crowded with tourists, which is quite lively. The surrounding buildings are also very beautiful.

Akasaba Castle is a highland in the old city of Malaga. It's free to go, climbing slowly along the mountain road, with mottled walls and pleasant scenery outside. Standing at a high altitude, overlooking Malaga's bullfight and coastline, it is refreshing. Continuing up, through the Islamic garden, we reached the interior of the castle and looked out from the castle window like a picture. The castle is generally reserved, the interior is no longer exquisite, but there are a lot of utensils used at that time can be visited. It's interesting that the castle is so intricate that it inadvertently loses its way in the room.

After several centuries of wind and rain, only thousands of broken bricks are left. The remaining ruins still show the grand occasion of that time.
