Senkoji Park
Behind Onomichi Station, from the top of Senkoji Mountain at an altitude of 144.2 meters to the mountainside, there is an open place for viewing cherry blossoms, which is Senkoji Park. The Hill Of Hope
The Hill Of Hope is a white marble garden spanning thousands of square meters, with "family bonds" as its design theme. The works in the garden are all by the world-renowned sculptor Kazuuto Kuetani, and the marble used was excavated from the Carrara region in Italy, where Kuetani's studio is located, and shipped to Japan in containers. The view from the mountaintop observation deck is quite nice, but Senko-ji Temple is further down the mountain. A word of caution: if you plan to visit Senko-ji, just buy a one-way cable car ticket; you can take the Neko no Shoso (Neko no Hossou) down the mountain on the return trip (but there won't be any cats, so don't expect it). Since you'll still have to walk down the mountain to get to Senko-ji, you wouldn't want to be out of breath after visiting Senko-ji and then have to climb back up for the cable car, right? It's much easier to just walk down the Neko no Shoso.

【Scenery】 It was a rainy day when I visited Senkoji Mountain Ropeway, and the wet stone steps and stairs were nice, but they were slippery and it was difficult to see the cats I wanted, so I thought it was good to use the ropeway. At the observatory, I was able to enjoy the vast scenery on the left and right.

The hotel we stayed in was right next to the Shimanami Kaido, and the window of the room faced the unbeatable sea view. It was a very beautiful place. The sea water was particularly clear. From a distance, it looked azure blue, with the sea and sky blending into one. To be honest, the sea view in China really can't be compared.
