The instructions for the former residence are available in seven languages: German, English, Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese, and there are two versions in simplified and traditional Chinese. Vallée de la Pétrusse is also known asVallée de la Pétrusse, a rift about 100 m wide and about 60 m deep that runs across Luxembourg City, naturally separating the high ground of the old town from the new district by the train station. The gorge once served as Luxembourg City's natural barrier, and remnants of fortifications such as bastions, gun ports, and secret passages still remain between the cliffs. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1994. Today the gorge has returned to nature, with towering trees spreading layers of green shade and the Pétrusse stream quietly flowing along the valley floor. Stone steps from the plaza side lead all the way down to the valley floor, and along the shaded path you can look up to see the Pont Adolphe spanning the gorge and the arch of the old bridge. The path is gentle, suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling. If you only want to view it from a distance, stand on the plaza or on the bridge spanning the gorge and the canyon's greenery and the old town roofs will appear in the same view. On misty mornings, the valley floor is shrouded in fog, which further accentuates the canyon's depth. In summer, you can also take the open-air sightseeing train Pétrusse express and, with commentary, view the canyon's military remains and natural scenery.Luxembourg City · 30.6 km from Saarburg

Pont Adolpheis a stone arch bridge spanning the Vallée de la Pétrusse. It was built between 1900 and 1903 during the reign of Grand Duke Adolphe and was named after him. Since there was already an older bridge over the gorge, locals still habitually call this bridge the "new bridge." Its main arch has a span of approx. 85 m, and the bridge deck is approx. 42 m above the valley floor. When it was built, it was the largest-span stone arch bridge in the world. Two parallel giant arches support the bridge, making it a well-known city symbol of Luxembourg. One end of the bridge connects to the old town on the high ground, and the other end connects to the new district where the train station is located. The upper deck is for vehicles and pedestrians, and you can overlook the greenery of the gorge and the roofs of the old town from the railing. Below the bridge arches, there is a cantilevered lower walkway for pedestrians and cyclists. Walking on it, you can look up at the huge stone arches and get a different perspective to examine the structure of this century-old bridge. If you want to take a panoramic photo, you can head to a nearby plaza. Looking towards the gorge and the bridge from there is a common vantage point when visiting Luxembourg.Luxembourg City · 30.9 km from Saarburg

Saint Peter's Cathedral, also known as Trier Cathedral, is located in Trier and is an ancient cathedral in Germany. During the Roman Catholic era, it served as the Church of Our Lady for the Diocese of Trier. In 1986, it was designated a World Heritage Site along with other ancient Roman sites in Trier. A precious relic in Trier Cathedral is the Holy Robe—the seamless robe of Christ. According to Christian legend, Empress Helena brought this seamless robe of Christ to Trier. The relic chapel is only open to the public annually on the Holy Robe Day, but the Holy Robe is not on display.Trier · 17.7 km from Saarburg

The Petros Canyon, also known as the Luxembourg Grand Canyon, is one of the world's famous scenic spots. It is about 100 meters wide and 60 meters deep, naturally dividing Luxembourg City into two urban areas, the new and old areas in the north and south. Constitution Square is the best place to view the Grand Canyon and the scenery on both sides. Opposite the Grand Canyon, there is a palace-like building located in the green, which looks particularly magnificent. It is the Luxembourg National Savings Bank. At its north end is a tall pointed round bell tower, and on both sides are medieval buildings with only roofs visible.

Trier, which is in southwest Germany and close to Luxembourg, is the oldest city in Germany and was an important administrative center for the Western Roman Empire. The city is very walkable, and I was able to get everywhere on foot with the help of Google Maps. A full, packed day is enough to cover the major sites and take in the many fascinating ancient Roman ruins. I managed to tour the Porta Nigra, which was a city gate and later a church - Trier is a must-visit for European history buffs and UNESCO World Heritage site lovers!

The Adolphe Bridge, located in Luxembourg City, is a sturdy stone arch bridge spanning the Petrus Valley. Its greyish-white structure is quite substantial. Standing in the center, you can see the old town and treetops on both sides of the valley. Cars passing by in the adjacent lanes cause the bridge surface to vibrate slightly. Several walkways allow you to descend and admire the arches extending overhead. There's a viewing platform on the bridge, where tourists often lean against the railings to take photos. The bridge isn't very long, taking only a few minutes to walk across, but it's perfect for enjoying the scenery.

As the sun sets, the oblique sunlight covers the Trier Cathedral with a golden coat, making this ancient Roman Gothic building from the fourth century AD particularly dazzling. The interior of the church is also very exquisite.

Jardin Des Papillons is a botanical garden with many plants and insects. There are many butterflies, which are particularly beautiful and lively. There is also a souvenir shop at the entrance where you can buy plant-related products and refrigerator magnets. It is very interesting.
