Strasbourg Church is one of the more important historical buildings in the Middle Ages (11th to 15th centuries), and it is also a famous Gothic church in Europe. " to describe this church. The 142-meter-high minaret was added in 1439, the same year the church was inaugurated. Construction of the front wall began in 1277, with its rose windows and stone lace, and its three porticos are also decorated with exquisite statues, which is also famous for Strasbourg Cathedral. The nave is magnificent and elegant, with its stained-glass windows (12th-15th centuries) and the Pillar of Angels (c. 1230) imposing, together with the intricately carved pulpit (1484), and the famous Sieber The Silbermann organ is more pleasing to the eye. There is a one-story astronomical clock (L'horloge Astronomique) in the church, which has been in operation since 1547. Every 15 minutes, there are statues of children, youth, adults and the elderly representing the 4 stages of life, but every o'clock is on the clock. There is a god of death with an axe coming out to tell the time, and it is accurate so far. At about 12:30 noon, the bell will ring to tell the time with music, which can be said to be the spiritual symbol of the Renaissance in Strasbourg.Strasbourg · 271m from downtown

Petite-France is located in the southwest of the old town of Strasbourg, France, and is one of the city's representative historical districts, as well as an important part of the Grande Île historical center of Strasbourg. The district is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, winding canals, and unique Alsatian style, showcasing the cityscape formed by the long-term blend of French and German culture. It was once home to fishermen, millers, and tanners. Today, the district still retains many traditional half-timbered houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, with soft-colored exterior walls, steep roofs, and clearly visible windows and timber-framed structures. The houses are distributed along the Ill River and its tributaries, where the canals, stone bridges, and historical buildings complement each other, creating a distinctive waterside view.Strasbourg · 520m from downtown

Parc de l'Orangerie

Parc de l'Orangerie is not an orchard. It is one of the larger public parks in Strasbourg. Whether on the green grass in spring, under the bright summer sun, amidst the golden foliage in fall, or surrounded by pristine white snow in winter, groups of people—young and old, with family or friends—stroll through, creating a relaxed and elegant picture of leisure. In 1803, the Strasbourg municipal authorities built Parc de l'Orangerie to house 100 orange trees gifted by the Château de Bouxwiller. The park was initially designed entirely in the French garden style. The main paths in the park were designed by the same person who designed the Palace of Versailles. When Parc de l'Orangerie was completed, Empress Joséphine, wife of Napoleon, traveled specifically to preside over the inauguration ceremony. The palace in the center of the park was named Pavillon Joséphine. Parc de l'Orangerie underwent several renovations and expansions in the decades following its completion, with its area expanding to 25 hectares. The northwestern part of Pavillon Joséphine was redesigned in the English garden style: vast stretches of green grass, exotic flowers and trees scattered throughout, and winding paths through the grass and foliage, making this corner of the park a poetic and romantic oasis in the city. Over time, ponds were dug, rockeries were built, waterfalls were constructed, and small boats began to drift on the lake. Together, these elements form the image we see today. Today, Parc de l'Orangerie no longer has orange trees, nor does it have walls; it is open to the public 24 hours a day.Strasbourg · 2.2 km from downtown

This is a cross-border garden on the border between Germany and France, a symbol of the friendship between France and Germany. Its prototype is an old racecourse in France in the 20th century. The idea of a cross-border park was proposed earlier in 1995 and was jointly constructed by the two countries. The current Transfrontier Park covers an area of 150 hectares along the Rhine. The important meeting of the 2009 NATO summit was held here. Usually, the park also hosts flower shows, concerts, dances and street performances. People from Germany and France can participate together. It is also a place for relaxation and family outings.Strasbourg · 4.2 km from downtown

One of the best views of Strasbourg definitely belongs to Barrage Vauban with the standing three towers. The best view has to be from the air as always and the best route is above the dam opposite the towers right across. Take the stairs up to the second level and you will be able to see the whole picture. You will be able to view Cathedral Norte Dame from here as well. Be aware that the stairs will closed at 9pm during spring and summer seasons. This area happens to be the best sunset viewing platform as well.

The Austrian Parliament Building (German: Parlament or Hohes Haus, formerly known as Reichsratsgebüde) is the seat of the two chambers of the Austrian Parliament. The Austrian Parliament Building was built between 1874 and 1883. The architect responsible for its construction was Baron Theophil von Hansen. He designed the building in the Greek Revival style, consisting of several coordinated parts. He was also responsible for the interior decoration, such as statues, paintings, furniture, chandeliers, etc. One of the most famous features of the building is the statue of Athena and the fountain, both of which have become well-known tourist attractions in Vienna. Although the Parliament Building was severely damaged during World War II, most of it has been restored to its original appearance.
