Lake St Moritz

24 reviews
Lake St. Moritz is one of the more important lakes in the Engadin Valley. Due to the woodlands on its east and south sides, it has become a more attractive viewing point in the town. The lake is azure blue and is the symbol of St. Moritz. With the change of seasons, Lake St. Moritz presents different charming scenery. Walk around the lake There is a 4-kilometer-long lakeside walking path around the lake, where you can stroll around and enjoy the lake and mountains. The lawn by the lake is a good place for family leisure. Summer water sports Although Lake St. Moritz is not large, it is the venue for several international competitions, thanks to the unique Maloja phenomenon here: every summer, huge Maloja clouds sway along the valley, and the shift in wind direction sweeps away the midday heat, bringing coolness to people, and at the same time makes the direction and strength of the tide just right for surfing and sailing. This is also a natural training ground for long-distance runners. If you come here in the summer, you have the opportunity to meet famous long-distance runners from all over the world on the lake sermon. Winter Ice Events When the lake freezes in winter, it becomes a venue for various international ice events. In February and March every year, international ice horse racing, ice hockey and other events are held here. These activities are quite creative and interesting to watch.Saint Moritz · 681m from downtown

The Swiss National Park is located in Zernez between the Engadin and Mistyr valleys in the canton of Graubünden and is a national park and nature reserve in Switzerland. The park was built in 1914 and is also the oldest park in the Alps. There is only one road in the park that allows cars and sightseeing vehicles to pass, and when walking, you must follow specific hiking trails as required. It is because of this strict protection of the natural environment that tourists can still see wild goats, antelopes, marmots, alpine hares, lizards and countless birds in the wild. Alpine plants bloom in June-August, and July or August is a good time to hike when the snow covers.Zernez · 33.7 km from Saint Moritz

What travelers say about Saint Moritz

In early summer, strolling along the shore of Lake St. Moritz, the feeling is "beautiful" and "cool". On the south side of the lake is the main city of St. Moritz built on the hillside. Take the sightseeing elevator in the center of the city and walk along the trail to the viewing platform by the lake. On the other side of the lake, there is snow on the top of the mountain and green jungle on the hillside, reflecting the blue sky and the blue lake. The tranquility and beauty are unforgettable. On the east bank of the lake, there is a large shallow stone beach. A little girl with yellow hair who was playing in the water with a puppy warmly invited me to play in the water. I took off my shoes and socks, rolled up my trouser legs, and stepped on the water and played in the waves in the lake water of about 8℃. It was so cool and refreshing that it was unforgettable.

As one of the world's top five ski resorts, St. Moritz Ski Resort has 350 kilometers of ski slopes and several new facilities. Its Corviglia Mountain has the most precipitous starting peak in Switzerland, and the steep slope of Ner Mountain is nearly 100% inclination, which is dizzying. Sliding down from the top of the 3,000-meter mountain on a skateboard, every skier can become a free-flying bird, and have fun in the snow under the sunshine.

Swiss National Park is Switzerland's only national park and one of the oldest parks in the Alps. It enjoys a good reputation among visitors, with an overall rating of 4.8. Here are some common reviews: - Advantages: - Stunning Natural Scenery: The park boasts diverse natural landscapes including snow-capped mountains, glaciers, lakes, and forests, creating a picturesque scene. It is also Switzerland's largest nature reserve, home to 650 plant species, 30 mammal species, and over 100 bird species. Visitors have the opportunity to spot wild goats, antelopes, and marmots. - Excellent Hiking Experience: The park offers 80 kilometers of hiking trails of varying difficulty levels, clearly marked to cater to hikers of different fitness levels and interests. - Convenient Facilities: Although there is only one road allowing cars and sightseeing vehicles within the park, there are nine designated parking lots. Various information, documents, and exhibits are available in the park huts in Zernez, facilitating visitor understanding of the park. - Disadvantages: - Strict restrictions on visits: Due to strict conservation regulations, visitors' activities are confined to specific trails, limiting their freedom to explore the park. This may leave some independent travelers feeling less satisfied. - Relatively basic facilities: There is only one hotel and restaurant within the park, offering limited accommodation and dining options that may not meet the needs of all visitors. - Inconvenient transportation: Located in the mountainous region of Graubünden, the park is far from major cities, making transportation somewhat difficult. For visitors without a car, reaching the park may require considerable time and effort.
