The five stars of Tianji form a symmetrical layout and are connected to each other through overhead corridors. The axis determined with Yuheng as the center is set on the extension of the central axis of Palace No. 1 of Qin Xianyang Palace. Among them, the main building adopts the form of a high platform to meet different functions. At the same time, it also shows the characteristics of Qin and Han palaces such as "high terraces and pavilions, beautiful palaces and rooms, complex roads and empty roads, horizontal bridges and waves, lofty towers, and combination of palaces and gardens." The origin of high platform construction is very early, such as the Lutai of the Yin Shang Dynasty and the Lingtai of the Zhou Dynasty. From the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the style of building platforms was very popular. The museum adopts the appearance of a high platform building, with the exhibition area located on a high platform on the first floor, and public activity areas such as tourism services located in the "hall" on the high platform. "Technology and Beauty" mainly uses material remains such as sculptures, murals, portrait stones, and ceramic models to show the rich and diverse image world of people during the Qin and Han Dynasties, and also reveal people's understanding of the universe, life and death at that time. The temporary exhibition hall extended outwards can realize the multi-purpose effect of one hall. Huaqing Palace attraction is located 30 km east of Xi'an, adjacent to the Terracotta Warriors. Renowned for its timeless hot spring resources and numerous historical events, it has become an iconic cultural tourism attraction of Tang Dynasty palaces in China. Palace scenic spots Huaqing Palace boasts a long history, serving as an imperial retreat for emperors from the Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang dynasties. The palace features cultural zones like the Tang Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum, the Xi'an Incident site—Five-Room Hall, Nine Dragon Lake and Lotus Lake scenic areas, and the Tang Pear Garden Museum. Notable architectural complexes include Feishuang Hall, Wanshou Hall, Changsheng Hall, Huanyuan Garden, and Yuwang Hall. The stele of "hot spring ode" Mount Li hot springs, developed early and favored by emperors throughout history, enjoy the reputation of being "the imperial hot springs under heaven." As far back as the Yangshao culture period 6,000 years ago, the ancient Jiangzhai people began utilizing these springs. With their profound cultural heritage spanning millennia, Mount Li hot springs represent an indispensable part of Chinese historical culture. The stele of hot spring ode in the attraction stands 154 cm tall, 72 cm wide, and 19 cm thick, featuring a coiled dragon design and a trapezoidal base. Engraved by Yuan Chang, the governor of Yongzhou during the Northern Wei Dynasty, the inscription reads, "The hot spring is nature's prescription and the primordial healer of the universe. People from all nations and those suffering from ailments come with provisions to seek relief in its waters." This stele is the earliest surviving written artifact at Huaqing Palace. Tang Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum This is the site of the bathing pool described in the "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" where Yang Guifei emerged from her bath. After the An Lushan Rebellion, little remained of the original structure. In 1982, while constructing the "Guifei Pavilion," the Lintong County Government accidentally discovered the ruins of a Tang Dynasty bathing pool. After excavation and restoration, the Huaqing Palace imperial hot spring ruins museum was established. This small yet exquisitely designed pool measures 3.6 meters east-west and 2.9 meters north-south, with an oval-like shape. The pool walls are entirely built with bluestone slabs, featuring a two-tiered terrace structure composed of 18 arched stone sections. Inside the pool lies a dedicated bathing stone for Yang Guifei, engraved with the character "Yang." At the center of the pool bottom is a 10 cm diameter water inlet. A white marble lotus pedestal was unearthed here, connecting to both a showerhead above and ceramic water pipes below that linked to the main water source. Due to natural pressure, hot spring water would spray outward through the lotus showerhead, creating a mist effect remarkably similar to modern showers. Adjacent to the Guifei Pool to the east lies Emperor Xuanzong's exclusive imperial hot spring. During the Tang Dynasty, the Nine Dragon Hall stood above this pool, featuring nine white jade-carved dragons spouting water outside. This pool's surface resembles a realistic lotus shape, hence its alternate name "Lotus Pool." Xi'an incident site The five-room hall at the Xi'an incident site in Huaqing Palace is where the Xi'an incident took place. To this day, the glass windows and walls of the five-room hall still bear bullet marks from the fierce battle during the military remonstrance. The desks, chairs, beds, sofas, tea sets, stoves, carpets, telephones, and other office items in each room are replicated and arranged according to their original appearance. Historical events: Beacon fire to deceive the feudal lords In 779 BC, King You of Zhou obtained the beautiful Bao Si, yet she never smiled. The feudal lords arrived valiantly but left resentfully. Seeing King You's incompetence and the people's discontent, the Quanrong tribe seized the opportunity to launch an attack. As the enemy troops approached the mountain, King You urgently raised the beacon fires.Beacon fireHe mobilized troops, but none of the feudal lords came to his rescue. King You fled with Bao Si toMount LiHe was later killed by the Quanrong tribe, leaving behind historical anecdotes such as "a smile worth a thousand gold," "losing the kingdom for a smile," and "playing with beacon fires to deceive the feudal lords." Among the countless poetic works, the emerging literary giant Su Shi stood out with his masterpieces like "Lady of Guo's night outing" and "Lishan" during his visit to the hot springs. Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng launched a mutiny at Huaqing Palace, detaining the then chairman of the Military Commission of the National Government. Performance items You can watch a large-scale dance drama at the attraction. ▲ The Song of Everlasting Sorrow is China's first large-scale live historical dance drama created by Shaanxi Tourism Group. Based on Bai Juyi's timeless poem of the same name, it fully utilizes the attraction's resources and employs high-tech stage lighting to combine historical storytelling with live performances, recreating the love story of Emperor Li Longji and Yang Guifei at Huaqing Palace over 1,300 years ago. ▲There is also the historical adaptation "12-12 Xi'an Incident," which vividly and authentically recreates the lesser-known details of the "Xi'an Incident."Xi'an · 38.2 km from Sanyuan

Especially at night, limited-time iron flower performances bloom in the air with dazzling sparks, recreating the lively and romantic atmosphere of the streets during the turbulent republican era. The retro scenery, exquisite night views, and strong visual impact make this a popular check-in spot combining historical sentiment and visual charm. "Ancient city beacon fire" show — a stunning red live-action performance "Ancient city beacon fire" is another large-scale red-themed live-action stunt performance created by Huaxia Cultural Tourism after the success of "Tuo Ling Legend." Featuring a 360-degree rotating smart auditorium that automatically adjusts viewing angles according to the plot, it immerses the audience in the turbulent era of the Republic of China in Guanzhong. The story revolves around Zhao Yunfeng, a heroic figure from Guanzhong, who rises against the cruel oppression of the world. Determined to fight back, he becomes a swordsman, leading his fellow villagers in resistance against local tyrants and security forces. Amidst the flames of war, he pursues light, follows the Red Army to spread the sparks of revolution, and dedicates everything to protect the common people of his homeland, crafting a touching legend of a Guanzhong hero. The performance restores grand war scenes in a realistic setting, featuring 1:1 scale props such as trains, fighter jets, and military vehicles, along with shocking explosion sound effects, high-altitude aerial stunts, and hardcore martial arts combat scenes. It also pours 5000 tons of water from a height of 40 m, with surging floods rushing out, creating a massive visual impact. Hundreds of actors perform with full dedication, as scenes of roaring artillery, billowing smoke, and surging floods appear one after another, truly presenting the turbulent and perilous historical years before the audience. Every thrilling moment allows the audience to personally feel the struggle and protection of revolutionary predecessors, understanding the preciousness of peaceful life. As an innovative outdoor live-action show in Xi'an, "Ancient city beacon fire" is not only a stunning audio-visual feast, but also a red retrospective across time and space, expressing lofty respect to revolutionary heroes. Act one: [Turn misfortune into blessing] The story tells of Zhao Yunfeng, a young man in the Republican-era ancient city of Guanzhong, whose father was beaten to death by a local tyrant. Seeking revenge for his father, he injured Second Master Zhang and fled to Qingfeng Stronghold, where he raised a band of outlaws to uphold justice and eliminate evil. Later, the tyrant, seeking to settle his grudge, hunted the young man under the guise of suppressing bandits and attempted to use his fiancée and family as leverage to lure Zhao Yunfeng out and eliminate his nemesis. Act two: [Tragedy in turbulent times] Zhao Yunfeng led his brothers to rescue his kidnapped fiancée and fled back to the stronghold. To eliminate Zhao Yunfeng and Qingfeng Stronghold once and for all, the security regiment gathered a large force to besiege the stronghold. Zhao Yunfeng and his strategist, Wang Banxian, engaged in fierce battles with the tyrant and the security regiment using the terrain to their advantage. Unfortunately, he was hit by an artillery shell while saving his fiancée during the intense fighting and died. A new confrontation was about to unfold. Act three: [Grain heist at the station] With no hope of victory, the fiancée detonated the makeshift dam, flooding the bandit stronghold and the security regiment. At this moment, the young man's comrades arrived with Red Army reinforcements. With the floodwaters and the Red Army's assistance, they completely wiped out the security regiment, eradicated the scourge in the pass, and liberated the oppressed poor. A battle for grain is about to begin... Act four: [Marching north] After the flood, the mountain stronghold was in complete disarray. To protect the brothers of the stronghold, to honor Zhao Yunfeng's sacrifice, and to completely eradicate the security regiment, the Red Army joined forces with the stronghold members to attack the train station and seize the military provisions transported by the security regiment. The two sides engaged in a fierce battle for the provisions at the station. The Red Army and the stronghold brothers fought bravely, blowing up trains and shooting down planes, ultimately wiping out the security regiment. After joining the Red Army, the stronghold members marched north with the troops, eliminating local scourges along the way and sowing the seeds of revolution. A single spark can start a prairie fire. The monument erected on the stage is a tribute to this great army. The legend of camel bells show — An international calling card of Chinese culture The Huaxia Cultural Tourism Grand Theater is the landmark building of the entire Huaxia Tourist Xi'an Resort project. It features a massive ellipsoid design, measuring 142 m long, 128 m wide, and approximately 50 m high, with a capacity to accommodate 3,000 people for performances. The movable auditorium in the center of the theater is ingeniously designed; through a rotating and mobile grandstand, it transports the audience to the optimal viewing position, providing a brand-new audiovisual experience. On November 13, 2018, this innovative design won the TEA Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement, an honor in the themed entertainment industry often referred to as the "Oscar" of the field. On November 20, 2019, the "Legend of the Camel Bell" show won another major award—the IAAPA Brass Ring Award. Nominated alongside this performance were "The Lion King" from Disneyland Paris and "Oh! Summer Banzai!" from Tokyo Disneyland. Amidst the competition with Disney, the "Legend of the Camel Bell" stood out and ultimately claimed the crown! The "Tuo Ling Legend" show has become an outstanding representative of China on the world performance stage, serving as a brilliant hallmark of high standards in art and science within the global entertainment industry. This "mobile live-action performance" was masterminded by Xia Chunting, chairman of Huaxia Cultural Tourism Group, who also served as the chief planner, scriptwriter, and director. During its creation, the performance centered on the "Belt and Road" as its core theme, deeply exploring the traditional culture of the Tang Dynasty and tracing the footsteps of camel caravans along the Silk Road, using positive energy to showcase Xi'an's glorious historical and cultural heritage. The entire performance is divided into seven chapters: prologue "Recalling the past," "Farewell for a thousand miles," "Peril on the wolf's path," "Exotic customs," "Cleansing rain," "Welcoming the return," and "Golden age of Huaxia." Adhering to the principle of being "visually stunning, musically captivating, and entertaining," it aims to create a performance that appeals to the general public, combining refined and popular tastes, and delivering a satisfying experience for all. The plot design begins with a newlywed couple reluctantly parting ways, depicting a westward-bound camel caravan encountering natural perils such as volcanoes, avalanches, sandstorms, and deserts, along with sudden wolf attacks, narrowly escaping death. Later, on the return journey laden with goods, they make a wish at Bamyan and coincidentally witness holy water descending from the sky, safely returning to Chang'an amid their loved ones' anticipation. The performance is interspersed with vivid depictions of exotic customs and landscapes, delivering a thrilling, breathtaking, beautiful, and joyous audiovisual experience that captivates the audience. The "Tuo Ling Legend" show utilizes 47 patented technologies and features spectacular performances including 20 camels and 30 wolves, leading the audience to experience the vastness of the desert, listen to the distant camel bells on the Silk Road, savor exotic customs, witness the glorious Tang Dynasty, and feel the millennium-old echoes of Huaxia. A city that reveals millennia of Huaxia civilization, a garden that embraces the grandeur of mountains and rivers. Huaxia Tourist Xi'an Resort is built upon world-class performances as its soul, immersive scenes as its framework, and profound cultural heritage as its foundation, blending the legends of the Silk Road, the splendor of the Tang Dynasty, the fantasy of immortals, and the patriotic spirit into one. Xi'an Bell Tower is one of the larger and well-preservedBell tower, originally built in 1384, during the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty,Bell towerLocated in the heart of Xi'an, it is one of the landmarks of the ancient city, radiating east, south, west, and north streets from its center, connecting to the east, south, west, and north gates of the Xi'an city wall respectively. The Xi'an Bell Tower was originally located on Guangji Street in the west. As the city center shifted eastward, it was relocated toDrum towerEast side, today's location. The Xi'an Bell Tower features a typical Ming Dynasty architectural style, with a square brick-and-stone base at the bottom and a triple-eaved pyramidal roof structure at the top, covered with dark green glazed tiles. The gilded pinnacle at the roof's apex is particularly striking under sunlight. Each side of the base has a central arched doorway approx. 6 m high, which were interconnected and once served as passageways for the intersection of four major streets—east, south, west, and north—allowing pedestrian and vehicular traffic. These doorways are now sealed, with a traffic roundabout built around them and an underground pedestrian passage. The entrance to the Xi'an Bell Tower is located within this underground passage, accessible via a spiral staircase. Inside the tower, there is a replica of the "Jingyun Bell," whose original was cast in the second year of Emperor Ruizong's Jingyun era (711 AD) during the Tang Dynasty and is now housed in the Xi'an Beilin Museum. Standing on the Xi'an Bell Tower, you can see the four main streets extending east, south, west, and north from the Xi'an Bell Tower. Around the Xi'an Bell Tower, there are bustling commercial areas and not far awayDrum towerTravelers can also enjoy wonderful historical performances when visiting the Xi'an Bell Tower.Xi'an · 39.8 km from Sanyuan

It's great, the price is reasonable, and the kids had a lot of fun. It's a great place with many roller coasters, both thrilling and mild. We were tourists and spent the whole day there. Thumbs up!

While not as grand and imposing as Maoling and Qianling, it offers the unique advantage of close-up views of the burial pits and funerary objects, making it worth a visit. However, the park's management was subpar; the restrooms had a pungent odor, and the outer burial pit exhibition hall was filled with a strange, putrid smell. Even after leaving and returning to the city, exposed to wind and rain, and having dinner, the stench lingered on everyone at the hotel, a feeling that was unbearable and disappointing.

During the National Day holiday, it was very crowded, but the tour guides were very professional and took us to see everything! It's very convenient to get to the Terracotta Warriors from Xi'an now. I recommend taking the Xi'an Metro Line 9 to the end and then taking a taxi for about 10 yuan. I also recommend staying at a nearby guesthouse so you can go to the museum early in the morning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-star review! Highly recommend Ms. Yanzi from the Qin and Han Dynasty Hall of the Shaanxi History Museum! Ms. Yanzi's explanations are professional and solid, and her presentation is vivid and engaging. Our group wasn't a premium small group tour, but the quality of the explanations far exceeded my expectations. Compared to several premium small group tours I've attended before, it was just as good, and much more affordable. My daughter is particularly fascinated by Qin Dynasty history and listened attentively throughout the entire tour, especially enjoying Ms. Yanzi's explanations. Following Ms. Yanzi through the Qin and Han Dynasty Hall, she clearly explained the stories behind the Qin and Han artifacts, making the whole experience incredibly enjoyable and well worth it!

I went up in the off-season after dark. The walk from Yongning Gate to Hanguang Gate was okay, and you could even cycle in the dark. The city wall was quite dark, and the nearby advertising light bulbs were too bright and glaring. The city management should really do something about it. The Hanguang Gate Museum was quite nice, but there was a strange smell at night.

The front desk service was excellent, the facilities were complete, and the surrounding area was very convenient. There were free late-night snacks and light meals available. The subway station was only 200 meters away, which was extremely convenient. It was also very close to the hospital. I highly recommend it and will stay here again next time.
