Andamanda Phuket Waterpark
Andamanda Phuket Waterpark is located in Kathu area of central Phuket, a large waterpark themed around Thai mythology and Andaman sea legends, covering approx. 100,000 m². The park itself hides an original story: young Chaiya embarks on a journey to find five sacred items to awaken Naga, the island's guardian deity. Five themed zones - coral world, emerald forest, Naga jungle, Andaman bay and Naga park - correspond to different scenes from the story, with settings incorporating Sino-Portuguese architectural elements of old Phuket. The "treasure hunt" concept while playing in water makes it especially family-friendly. Thrill-seekers can head straight to Naga jungle: "Dragon's descendant" simulates near free-fall, "Naga rapids" allows side-by-side racing with friends, alongside "coiled cobra," "eagle slide," and "garuda flight" - totaling dozens of slides park-wide. Emerald forest features the iconic "angel slide" and uniquely shaped "Kinnaree flight." Andaman bay is an expansive artificial sea with waves reaching approx. 3 m high, bordered by white sand beaches. Aspiring surfers can try the "surfer challenge" wave simulator, while families with children can gather near "miracle lagoon" and "little reef" in coral world to await giant bucket dumps or float leisurely along the "lazy river" circling the atoll. The park also replicates Phang Nga's Tapu island, with a wave bar set on it; the sand bar's transparent acrylic infinity pool offers drinks with views of visitors zooming down the "angel slide" - both being popular photo spots. When tired, village restaurant serves local flavors like pad Thai, massaman curry and Phuket Hokkien noodles, alongside Italian and American dishes (optional). Private overwater villas or cabins overlooking the bay can also be rented as bases. Evenings often feature "Andamanda bay treasure cruise" based on mythological stories, with lights, sound effects and water displays worth staying for after dark. I had an excellent day at Andamanda Phuket Waterpark. The park was beautifully designed, very clean and well maintained, with a great selection of slides, pools and attractions. There was something to enjoy throughout the entire day.I also booked a private Wave Cabana for the whole day, which was a great choice. It provided a comfortable and relaxing private space where I could rest between activities and keep my belongings safely nearby.The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and the facilities were excellent. Everything was well organised, and the whole experience offered very good value for money. I had a fantastic time and highly recommend Andamanda to anyone visiting Phuket.
