Mercedes-Benz Museum

The unique shape of this building, the external metal texture, coupled with the curved design, the internal "double helix" exhibition channel design, has greatly improved the space utilization rate, beautiful and functional, and interprets the contemporary German manufacturing. On a site of 4,800 square meters, it provides an amazing exhibition area of 16,500 square meters. The museum has more than 160 cars in its collection. When visiting, first take the "capsule" elevator to the top floor of the museum, and tell the story of Mercedes-Benz from the history of the first engine. Tourists visit in chronological order along a gentle ramp. In addition to cars, the museum also has a lot of other materials: documents, parts, the development process of automobiles corresponding to the great changes in the turning points of world history, which is very interesting.Stuttgart · 4.1 km from downtown

Although there are not many exhibits in the Porsche Museum, they are all high-quality products. It is more commendable that it is also a good place to learn car knowledge. Many parts and even the whole car have been put aside for exhibition, and the internal structure can be clearly seen. , and they are all original parts of Porsche, which can also see the inherent quality of German cars, especially the Porsche brand.Stuttgart · 6.9 km from downtown

Public Library Stuttgart is a famous local public library designed by Korean architect Eun Young Yi. The entire building is a massive cube with sides over 40 m long, with frosted glass bricks embedded in a gray concrete frame. It stands silently in the square during the day, and after nightfall, the lights shine through, making the whole structure glow blue, like a luminous Rubik's Cube. The interior is a pure white space with 2 underground levels and 9 floors above ground. The design is modeled after the ancient Roman Pantheon: the central square void is known as the Heart, where daylight streams down through an opening in the roof. The circular floor slabs taper inward from the fifth floor upward, resembling an inverted funnel. Bookshelves are arranged around the atrium, and 2 spiral staircases wind upward, creating a popular photo spot. In the circular lobby on the ground floor, you can see the automated book return and sorting system in operation through the glass. The top floor features a literature café, and you can also go up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy panoramic views of the city.Stuttgart · 1.6 km from downtown

New Palace

New Palace was the former residence of the Dukes and Kings of Württemberg and is a large Baroque city palace. Construction was ordered by Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg in 1746 and was completed under the successive direction of architects such as Leopoldo Retti, Philippe de La Guêpière, and Nikolaus Friedrich von Thouret. The palace features a three-wing layout, with a mansard roof and central dome that evoke the grandeur of classical French palaces, and the Cour d'Honneur between the two wings is accessible to visitors. The interior of the building was severely damaged during World War II but was later rebuilt to its original state. Today, the two wings serve as government office buildings, and the restored halls in the central main building are used for receptions. The White Hall inside the palace is often used for concerts and cultural performances. Although the 18th-century ceiling paintings in the Marble Hall were destroyed in the war, they can now be viewed in their original form through digital restoration, showcasing a simple and solemn artistic atmosphere.Stuttgart · 283m from downtown

This is the place where you go to see a lot of famous, and some unique, Porsche vehicles. An incredible variety! I was impressed with the placards provided for each with information and background about the vehicle. It is largely a huge historical showroom. The technical displays, I thought could have been a bit more engaging. If you're keen to try the Michelin-rated steakhouse here, give some time for navigating there (it was not obvious). If you drove (as I did), Don't forget to remember your plate - you'll need it to pay for the exit (prior to exiting). Nice system....but one that seemed misunderstood by some others attending...Taunted my friends by proving that Porsche DID sell a diesel vehicle (the tractor) ....once upon a time ;)

📖 Stuttgart | Where to read on World Book Day: April 23 is World Book Day, also known as "World Book Day". It was established in France with the purpose of promoting more people to read and write. As a carrier of books, which library is worth recommending? 📍For me, it is the Stuttgart Public Library in Germany. It looks square on the outside, but it actually has a lot of secrets inside, perfectly integrating industry, aesthetics, and functionality. 📍The huge upturned space extending from the center of the first floor to the fourth floor creates a sacred feeling like a church. Going up further, when you reach the top of the fourth floor and think that everything is over, the interior space from the fifth to the eighth floor is presented to you with an architectural experience that is completely beyond your expectations. 📍From the convenient personnel guidance flow line, to the pleasant and reassuring interior decoration color matching, to the clearly divided book category layout. The design of the entire library always revolves around people and cares about people. 📍A good building should not only be beautiful in form, but also comfortable in function. The Stuttgart Public Library is such a good building that meets both conditions. I really want to stay in such a library and never come out. 📍This library, which has both beauty and connotation, can also be climbed to the top to overlook the entire Stuttgart city. The full name of the library is Stadtbibliothek am Mailänder Platz, which can be reached by bus or subway.

The New Palace (Neues Palais) in Potsdam, Germany, is a testament to 18th-century Baroque architecture. Constructed between 1763 and 1769 under King Frederick the Great, it stands as the last grand Prussian Baroque palace. Visitors can explore over 200 uniquely designed rooms, each showcasing lavish Rococo interiors. The palace is nestled within the expansive Sanssouci Park, offering well-maintained gardens, canals, and fountains.

Palace Square is located on Stuttgart's main street, Königstrasse. It was originally the garden of the old palace, but now it is mainly the venue for Christmas markets and other celebrations. The fountain, concert hall and monument on the square, as well as the chestnut trees on both sides of the street are the symbols of the square. When the weather is fine, you can bask in the sun on the lawn of the square like the local citizens, or enjoy a leisurely time on the benches under the chestnut trees.

It is next to the famous Mercedes Museum. The white exterior of the building is in harmony with the curvilinear museum building. There is also a green court here without too many obstructions. It is said that this is the first choice for many outdoor activities in Stuttgart.
