Asahiyama Zoo is located in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and is a highly popular zoo in Japan. In the 1990s, it was on the verge of closure due to a sharp decline in visitors. I really enjoyed my experience there. I loved the place and the activities. You should go if you want to have some fun. I also went with my dad, who is in his 60s. There were places where he could rest when he got tired or cold.Plus, I got a really good deal — around 80% off. I was a bit worried at first that it might not be valid, but it turned out to work just like a regular entry ticket, and I even got a small souvenir.

The ticket price was really cheap compared to the environment. My child was really enjoyed the garden and tiny house. Still need additional ticket from chocolate making session about 1800 JPY per head. Recommended if you have additional time in Sapporo. In latr oct, it is halloween theme.

We also walked till closing time for this attraction, being our first full day in Hokkaido. The seals, penguins and polar bear were so close to us till we could see them very upclose. Not forgetting the hippo enclosure which was very unique with de waters and they seem to be enjoying swimming inside. The children’s playground was a pleasant surprise for the kids to take a break from walking. Too bad we missed the petting and feeding area.
